Free agent S Greg Wesley will visit the Raiders on Sunday, according to NFL Network's Adam Schefter.

Al Davis loves him some ex-Chiefs and Wesley could replace Jarrod Cooper as Oakland's third safety or on special teams. If Wesley, 30, intends to start on defense however, the Raiders wouldn't be an ideal landing spot.

The Broncos were also

interested in Wesley last year. That was the reason he wasn’t traded then. The Chiefs didn’t want him to go to a division rival.

He seems intent on going to an AFC West team though.

He's Familiar With The Teams, I Guess

Some people just get a comfort level and don’t want to change up too much. Neil Smith stayed in the AFC West after he left the Chiefs too (Broncos and Chargers).

Supporting the lesser of two evils is still supporting something evil.

Guess I forgot about that

I had to look it up to confirm that he really did play for the Chargers. I guess I just completely forgot about that.

Divisional rivals are also more likely to want to sign them because of their familiarity with their rivals.

He Wasn't With The Chargers Long

I seem to recall that he basically hung them up partway through the season.

Also

Chiefs players see those guys on the Broncos, Chargers, and Raiders twice a year when they play them, guess after awhile they start to develop friendships. Football’s like any other sport, just because you hate the guy on the field doesn’t mean that you hate the guy off the field. Chiefs players probably know as almost as many guys elsewhere in the AFC West as they do on the Chiefs…especially after this offseason’s roster turnover.

Supporting the lesser of two evils is still supporting something evil.
