NFL Network's Adam Schefter suggest the Jets, Chiefs, and Ravens as possible landing spots if the Packers decide to trade Brett Favre.
Schefter strongly cautions that he's not reporting or trying to "rumor monger," but these would all be sensible landing spots. The Chiefs once traded for Joe Montana in a somewhat similar scenario. The Jets once thought they would get Favre, but settled for drafting Browning Nagle instead. In the end, however, Schefter says he wouldn't bet on Favre playing football in 2008.

Just say NO to Favre
Legendary Hall of Famer and still a great QB. But bringing Favre in would only slow the growth of our team at the QB position.
If Brodie Croyle is not the answer to QB for the next 7 or 8 years, we need to get to finding out who is. Favre would only play one or two years at most and this team is nowhere near ready to support him.
When the Chiefs brought Montana in, we were ready to win. We aren’t even remotely in that position today. All we would do is succeed in convincing Favre that he should STAY retired.

nay to Favray
on point ChiefDJ
Montana fit because he was a “final piece of the puzzle” at the time. Right now we barely have the edge of this puzzle filled in…. several pieces fell out of the box… I think the dog ate one or two as well. Hey, how did this old Corn Flake get in here? Ooh, a Monopoly piece!!
RIP, Brett. (Retire in Peace)

I'm thinking
that if the Chiefs pick him up, it’ll be for the reasons they picked up Warren Moon in ‘99: to give the starter some experienced advice.

Totally agree
But that’s his best chance for him to be picked up by a team at this point in his career.

Favre comes back he will start. There are teams that will pick him up as a starter. The Ravens, Bears, and Bucs are a few of those teams. He is still a top ten quarterback in the league and he is retired. He definately won’t comeback to ride the pine and help coach young players. He could have stayed in the league and mentored Aaron Rodgers. The man plays football and that is it.

Where is this coming from?
We have Huard as a veteran with experience, and he isn’t going to demand to play like Favre most def would. If we weren’t thrilled with the qb position then why didn’t we draft another? This is probably the Packers trying to increase his trade value by adding in every team that needs a qb. I love Brett Favre as a Packer not a potential Chief.

No Chance He Lands With The Chiefs
He’s too old to fit our plans and we’re too far from contention to interest him. Plus, his gambling style likely won’t suit Herm’s intentions. I think he ends up in Baltimore. Minnesota would be the perfect spot for him, but I don’t think there’s a chance in hell the Packers let that happen. But I’ll bet they’ll let him go to the AFC.

I agree!
But first he has to come out of retirement. “Farve to Gonzalez TOUCHDOWN!!!!” sorry I was dreaming there a bit. “Croyle to Webb INCOMPLETE!” back to earth.

We'll See On Croyle
I’ve bashed the guy a bit too, but he may not be as bad as all that…jury’s still out. So let’s not start drinking ourselves into oblivion just yet :)
