Other NFL Stadiums

Fellow BCBer's,

I set an informal goal for the year that i was going to see a sporting event at 10 different venues this year.  To that end, i think that i am going to have to see our KANSAS CITY CHIEFS in at least one, if not two other stadiums this year.  I am going to be in Atlanta for that week and am thinking about making the trip to Denver to go watch our chiefs pound the donkeys.

Does anyone have any other suggestions on a good stadium to see a game at?  Has anyone seen one at the Georgia Dome or Invesco and know anything about them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  (Only about 1 week until our boys go to training camp)  I can't wait to roll my bus back up to one arrowhead drive

No other stadiums exist

There is only Arrowhead.

ha! good answer

But good travels, skibum. If you just want to see stadiums, I’d consider the Bears pre-season game. San Diego would be a nice town in November. This year’s list of away stadiums aren’t terribly exciting to me, although I’ve not been to any of them. Patriots game opening day would be fun to experience. Especially when in turns into one of the greatest upsets of all time…

The national sports media would crap themselves…

I have seen a game at Mile High (I won't call it Invesco)

it has good sightlines no matter where you sit, but tickets could be a challenge to get. You are also looking at a chance at cold weather when you are there. Since it is a rivalry, you may encounter some flack from the fans there (probably something I would encounter if I went to Arrowhead). I don’t see your team going far so you won’t need to worry about the game moving to sunday night.

Atlanta may be a much easier ticket to get….most of thier games are blacked out.

Hope that helps.

I was in Denver this weekend

And drove past Invesco. I absolutely hate the Broncos but respected the idea of Mile High stadium. Now that it’s named Invesco, which isn’t even a company anymore, I can smell how terrible it will be when the Chiefs ultimately sell out like the Broncos did.

actually it is again....

the new company that took Invesco over talked to the Broncos about renaming the stadium. The Broncos said no and the company named themselves Invesco instead.

Mile High is a great place to see a game!!!

I’ve been to Arrowhead and Mile High and the scene is fairly similiar. Good food, good people, great football atmosphere.

Sure you’ll catch some guff for wearing that obnoxious red…but it will be 99% good natured (everywhere has a few less than civilized fans).

But overall you’ll have a good time! Plus it’s only about an 8 hr drive from KC.

Let me clarify

I hate the Broncos with a passion (don’t need to clarify that) but I think a Chiefs/Broncos game in December in Denver would be outrageous. I imagine the scenes are pretty familiar.

As for other stadiums….no where else really seems to jump out at me but I would imagine Jets fans are pretty passionate/crazy. And as Sunny D said, San Diego would be a nice city to be in in November…(experience sucks, from what I’ve heard).
