Glenn Dorsey
I apologize if this has already been discussed, but has he signed yet? If not, what is the status? I haven't heard anything. I have searched a few sites and can't find anything.
Also, what about the rest of the picks, what is their status?
And just for fun, any predictions on Dorsey's output this year.
I say he has a Mario Williams-type first year. He will get a few sacks early, then the league will throw some things at him to see if he adjusts. He'll struggle for a few weeks, but will finish with 8.5 sacks.

8.5 for a DT would be fantastic
Mario Williams plays DE where you can get to the QB more often.
8-10 sacks for a DT…that’s Pro Bowl material.

Lets hope
I hope so. A DT with those stats means the DE is probably getting double digits

We haven't signed Dorsey
But we signed Barry Richardson and Brandon Carr and Will Franklin. I think that’s it.

I read this morning
Wish I could remember where I saw it, but I read this morning that only three 1st rounders and one 2nd rounder have been signed amongst all the teams.
Apparently the Players Association is asking the players agents to try to hold off on signing until the PA gets a legal clarification about how the rookie signing bonus will be handled. I need to find the link to doublecheck the facts, but if I remember correctly, it has something to do with how teams stack the players cap figure with the bonus coming at the end of the contract and the fact that when todays rookies contracts hit their 4th year could be the uncapped year.
Anyways, they are trying to get clarified about what happens to that money once they are out of the CBA and are wanting the agents to hold off on making deals until they make sure those players interests are taken care of.
Sorry Im not more clear on the details, Ill try to dig up where I read that this morning.

this is where
i wish the NFL was like the NBA. and might i clarify, the only way i wish the two were alike. in the NBA the rookie contracts are pretty much set in stone based on where the player is drafted. there are some things that are left to negotiations, but for the most part they are a forgone conclusion.

However
I think that the top two can still negotiate higher contracts.

The NBA is pretty huge on endorsements too
They have perhaps the biggest advantage in endorsing certain players because they’re not wearing a helmet or facemask. Their athletic abilities are more visible. MLB and NFL, all you see is the name on the back, but NBA players are right there and contrary to the other aforementioned leagues, one player can take over a game.
These guys make a ton off of endorsements.
