Texas led the nation in 2007-08 with 10 Academic All-America selections on teams selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

North Dakota State and Notre Dame tied for second with eight All-Americans, one more than Duke.

UT officials said the school’s previous best was five academic All-Americans.

Texas had four first-team members: D.J. Augustin, men’s basketball; Dallas Griffin and Derek Lokey, football; and Donovan Kilmartin, men’s track and field/cross country.
