Odell Thurman fails drug test
So much for all the speculation about a guy that may fit in w/ our cover 2 scheme. ESPN is reporting that Thurman failed a drug test, meaning he is subject to an indefinite suspension. As a guy w/ previous problems and a recent release due to behavior issues (bad timing, however, Cincinnati), Thurman should've known better than to test the system. As for us and this continuing discussion of character on our team, Thurman was disqualified before the discussion could reach its peak. Again, it's just a reminder that when you give guys more chances, it doesn't mean they've learned anything. Pacman, this includes you. His limited reinstatement and chance to come back will be watched closely. I hope Irvin and Primetime are able to keep 'Adam' on lock until September 1 so we can watch him play again. Guys need to start learning. I praise Goodell for all his efforts on player conduct.

I think it has a lot to do with losing his grandmother. Probably went and got high instead of out drinking. Sad, that woman who raised him passed…
Not much of an excuse but I understand in a way. People cope with shit different ways and that’s probably been his out for a long time with no one to really stop and show him other ways.
It woulda been awesome if we signed him. I’m sure all he had to do was pass that test and then there wouldve been talks.

"with no one to really stop and show him other ways"
He’s been the subject of intense media scrutiny for the last 2 years. The NFL has reached out to him in the form of the league’s substance abuse policy.
The writing is on the wall. It’s just up to him if he wants to follow it.
If you can’t get clean urine in order to save your career then all reasoning has obviously left the building.

Some people are just stupid and lazy
Its hard to believe considering the amount of money these guys make, but some guys have so much talent they never had to really work hard for what they got. Alot of guys are failing marijuana tests, and marijuana isn’t even addictive. They’re just lazy, ignorant pot heads that are blowing their careers and millions of dollars.
Thats why you don’t want guys like that on your team.

what a waste
Regardless of circumstance, it’s pretty ridonkulous that he failed another drug test shortly after being reinstated.
WHAT EEES EET WEEETH YOU MAN!!!For serious, just press pause. I know you want to smoke, but you’ve got to know that there is a time and a place. The months following your reinstatement to the NFL is NOT the time. In 14 years after you’ve had a good career and you’re beat up and older and you’re rich and retired and you don’t have to answer to anybody anymore if you don’t want to… that’s the time.
I’m just waiting for Pacman to hitch a ride on the Moron Express. Next stop Dallas!!!

This is why you don't just grab any player with talent thats out there
Every time one of these guys come back from suspension people go on and on about how the Chiefs should go after him because so and so is talented and the Chiefs could get him for cheap (too many people think the organization is cheap and not just smart with the money).
Zebras don’t change their stripes and Leopards don’t change their spots. Players CAN come back from a bad past and everyone seems to think that we should be the ones who give a guy a chance. But more often than not, problem players remain problem players their entire career.
Stupid people can be making millions playing a game we love and piss it away. I have no sympathy.

Couldn’t have said it any better. Stupid people are likely to remain stupid forever. So, Travis Henry anyone?
