Koren Robinson(WR) in KC?
There are reports that Kansas City is interested in Koren Robinson who was recently cut by the Green Bay Packers today. Robinson was the 9th overall pick in the 2001 draft. His numbers have dropped considerably since his 2002 season when he had 78 receptions for 1240 yards. Last year he had 21 rec for 241 yards in 9 games.
What do you guys think? Should we aggressively go after him? The Raiders are also interested as well according to reports.

More competition
Koren can return kicks, and is/was a pretty solid WR.
He’s had issues with Akeehol in the past… but apparently he now takes a drug that will make him sick if he drinks. In any case, he’s probably still a risk.
I don’t think we aggressively go after him. But I think we take a sniff at him.

Absolutely!
He is a great talent, and the Chiefs should look anywhere they can to find help for D-Bowe and TG. WIll Franklin is great start, but you can never have too much talent. Worst comes to worst, you cut him if he is a flop.

Hell, NO!
Carl thought Jared was an “at risk” player. Koren is a “risk proven player.”
He had his chance to clean up, and still pissed it away. Then he got arrested for DUI, again. The KC Chiefs are not about these idiots.
Tyron probably just was caught at the wrong time. Koren IS the wrong time.

I believe the big difference is that Jared was a 70million dollar risk as opposed to a 300k risk

That is my point.
He has been in so much trouble, he may only be worth $300k. Pacman was worth 1 (potentially 2) draft picks and $1 million.

Sound him out
He won’t be the first WR to be cut between now and the start of pre-season. I’d let his agent know that we’re interested at the right price, but he’d be coming in without guarantees. If he bites early, we’ve got the upper hand contractually. If he waits too long, the quantity of competition will increase and his chances of landing a spot will deminish, again giving us the upper hand contractually. He needs a home more than we need to bring him in.
Although I’d like to get a veteran presence to help solidify the receiving corp, I’d rather not take up the position with a marginal guy. If we had a chance to get a high-level player at a decent price, I’d go after him but not at the expense of the long-term rebuilding plan.

Sign Him
Koren has great athletic ability, with great size. The guy seems to have turned a corner with all of his drinking problems and seems to be ready to resurrect his career. I think he would undoubtedly become our number 2 wide receiver. Besides, why not try, he has to be better then anyone else on our receiver roster other then D – Bowe.

GIVE HIM TO THE FAIDERS!!
I’d much rather him going to the Raiders and causing problems there. They already picked up DeAngelo Hall (a really big head case) and drafted a RB when they have 99 others (most likely causing less of a “team” fealing). I say let this guy go over there and further screw up the franchise.

He isn't going to cause problems.
Brett Favre himself said Koren has turned his life around… and if you can’t trust Favre, who CAN you trust? Plus he’s a former 1st round pick and still young… a lot of upside. I don’t want a good receiver going to the Raiders.

Can you trust Favre?
Considering how many times everyone thought he was retiring! haha, no I’m just kidding, I really think Koren is on the right track.
