I Need Help!
I'm moving places this summer in Dallas and I can't move my satellite dish to my new residence because my apartment doesn't face south. Is there any Chiefs fans in Dallas out there with satellite. I would gladly help pay for the NFL sunday ticket and bring beer every sunday. Otherwise I'm going to have to go to a sports bar, which will have the Cowboys game on 10 monitors with maybe a glimmer of hope that the Chiefs game will be on a small TV in the corner of the bar. I need my chiefs like an addict needs drugs. You can e-mail me if you are interested: btmatthe@smu.edu

Sling Box, my friend
My brother recently moved from KC and he was also worried about watching the games. He’s a huge Chiefs fan and didn’t want to have to go to a bar to watch all the games.
This is where sling box comes in handy. It’s basically a little box that hooks into my internet line and heads to my cable box where a little infared type thing hangs over my cable box and shoots in there.
With this, my brother, who has the program on his computer, can sign on-line (via my IP address), and have complete access to my cable box. This allows him to get local KC channels, thus all the Chiefs games. He can access my DVR, all my channels, etc.
Here’s the kicker, though: you have to watch the same thing (which isn’t a problem on Sundays). He can change the channel on my cable box while I’m watching it all the way from another city.
Check out SlingBox’s wiki page.
I believe it’s somewhere in the neighborhood of $150, but it’s just a one-time fee.
That could be an option as well.

Of course
you would have to hook it up to someone’s box in Kansas City to get the local channels.

Another option...
I live in St. Louis, so they don’t show Chiefs games that often, so I paid 30 bucks to get the NFL Field Pass on NFL.com and you can listen to any game for free live. It’s not as fun as watching it, but at least you get to hear all the live action.

Fond memories of SLU
Waking up before noon on a Sunday to go to Laclede’s to watch the game. Talk about awful.

No cost option
Being in California and having to work every other Sunday I still pay for the ticket with the Super fan pack (I love the 30 min games with no commercials). On occasion (every other Sunday) I would log into my DirecTV acount online at work and be able to view one Game out of my area as long as black out did not apply (San Diego or tRaiders for my area). There is a slight Lag but it was cheaper than getting a sling box. (which my wife said no to unless i cancelled super fan)
