This blog is created with the purpose of responding to certain allegations and statements made about me and my life by my former wife, Cynthia Ream-Phillips, in an article published in the Kansas City Star, The Columbian Newspaper and in an interview aired on "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel".
First and most importantly what must be addressed is the idea that I abandoned my four children. As you will see this a lie.

Definitely read that post by Joe Phillips
in his blog.
The last I heard about him, he was “on the lam” and no one knew his whereabouts.
Major hat tips to Joe Phillips himself, who commented on Arrowhead Addict.
I dont know what to say other than
When it comes to Women anything is possible. I’ll be rooting for Joe.
I should also note
that I cannot confirm this is actually Joe Phillips. I’m 95% sure but I wanted to throw out that disclaimer.
For a claiming to be a lawyer...
...whoever wrote that blog isn’t much of a writer, so I’d be a little suspicious about the identity. The author gave enough personal details that it sounds as if they were close to the situation, so it may be Phillips, but then it also might be one of his family members (some of them came out with hostile remarks about the ex-wife after the “Real Sports” episode). Also, keep in mind that while it’s very possible that Phillips’ ex is everything the author claims she is, she’s also not the one on the run from the law (for reasons that didn’t have anything to do with his marital situation) so there is an issue of credibility with Phillips.
Joe Phillips was one of my favorite players as a Chief, and I feel bad for the guy’s troubles after football, but it’s probably best not to get mixed up in this one because outside of Joe Phillips and his ex-wife, nobody really has any idea of what went on in that marriage…it’s just a nasty divorce with two sides that apparently hate each other and both sides have reason to present a slanted version of events (just like in every divorce). There’s not going to be any good to come out of bloggers taking sides when we have no way of knowing what went down and it’s really not our business.
Supporting the lesser of two evils is still supporting something evil.
Agreed
Still wondering why he decides to come back into the public light via a blog.

That's The Reason I'm Kind of Suspicious Of His Identity
On a different note, considering all the information that’s come out in the last few years regarding post-concussion syndrome, I wonder if Joe Phillips’ alleged changes in behavior might have had something to do with that? He had documented problems with alcohol abuse during his time in San Diego (which led to a stint at Betty Ford) so relapsing because of the culture shock of leaving football wouldn’t be a stretch, but from the story pieced together by the different sources, it sounds eerily similar to what happened to Mike Webster (who suffered serious brain damage and behavioral changes as a result of the concussions he received).
Supporting the lesser of two evils is still supporting something evil.
