It seems like I'm the only one on this site who likes Herm, but...

I love this line:

You're not the only one...

who likes Herm. I have always liked Herm as a coach, and I think he gets blamed for a lot of things that aren’t his fault. Those Chiefs fans who say he should be fired for last year’s debacle obviously don’t understand that it’s extremely difficult to win with the combination of age and injuries that happened last year.

I agree but...

I really want to see him produce. If he doesn’t turn this around in 2 years (I mean have a winning season), then I say he’s really not what he’s cracked up to be. I think 6-8 wins is expected next season, and then the season after that is one that we need to compete. I mean, he really hasn’t done anything with a team, but he also hasn’t been given adequate time. I say keep him for 2 and re-evaluate.

Unlike the KC Star, we don’t have “Herm’s the Man” on these boards regurgitating the same garbage over and over…

“AND NOW, Clark Hunt has affirmed Herm’s The Man!”

... you know what, you can drop the “and now” because “and now” was about 5 months ago.

But seriously, I always thought I had this advantage living out of state that I was able to see what was going on without being bombarded by masses of people that are determined that Herm is at the root of every problem the Chiefs have.

News – “A pipe burst at Arrowhead today causing issues and setbacks with the renovation”
Everyone – Fire Herm, Trade Herm, Fire Carl.

It’s going to take a little more than one disastrous season to get me to turn on Herm. I like what they’ve done this off-season, I’m excited to see where it goes.
