Kansas City Chiefs 2008 Pre-Season Schedule

The pre-season schedules are starting to come out.  Of course we've got the Governor's Cup against the Baghdad St. Louis Rams.  It's not on the official site yet but here is a quick snippet of who our opponents are.

The Kansas City Chiefs open the 2008 preseason schedule at Soldier Field against the Chicago Bears. Official dates and kickoff times will be announced at a later time.

The Chiefs host the Arizona Cardinals, travel to play the Miami Dolphins and host the St. Louis Rams in the '08 installment of the Governor's Cup series.

Times and dates haven't been released yet.

I think Chris mentioned the other day that the Rams are thinking about moving their training camp to Wisconsin.  This would make for some interesting inter-state rivalry practices for the Chiefs and Rams.

#1 pick
I wish the Dolphins were coming to KC so we could see the #1 pick play.

Unless they get their wish
and trade down (which I am sure would be their first choice - somebody else put it this way, the Dolphins have more needs than positions on the field :))

They're resigned to the fact
that they are going to keep the pick.

Out of curiosity
what WOULD a team (say Dallas) need to give to MIA to get the #1 pick?  I am assuming both 1st rounders this year + what else?

Both 1st for sure
A starting reference point would be last year's Browns/Cowboys trade.

The Browns traded the #36 overall and their 2008 1st round pick for the Cowboys #22 overall pick.

So, a 1st rounder to move up 14 spots last year.  Also, remember that most people predicted the Browns would be in the top half of the draft this year.

So I would say 2 1st rd picks and a 2nd or third or 2 1st rd picks and a player of impact.

Hey everyone
Just got back from putting up vinyl siding in east KC. Sounds like fun, huh?

Many thanks to primetime for taking over today. I'll post the picks as I get them.
