Draft ideas if we trade Jared to Minnesota

Conservatively assuming we trade Jared to Minnesota for their 1st and 2nd round picks this year, here are some ideas for where the Chiefs could go with the draft:

Option #1
For option 1, Im assuming the Chiefs will move Hali to the RDE position and put Turk at the LDE position. This will not be as good as Tamba and Jared, but with the addition of Sedrick Ellis coming up the middle, it should get us by this year and we can take a DE with the 1st pick next year if necessary.

1st round
#5  Sedrick Ellis DT
#17 Gosder Cherilus RT

2nd round
#35 Sam Baker LT
#47 Jordy Nelson WR

3rd round
#66 Chevis Jackson CB

Option #2
This option will allow the Chiefs to take care of their OT needs early with the two of the best candidates in the draft(Albert will be the second lineman taken in the draft and will not be available at 17, he is a far superior prospect to Clady or Otah despite his lack of playing time at LT).

1st round
#5  Brandon Albert LT
#17 Gosder Cherilus RT

2nd round
#35 Brandon Flowers CB
#47 Jordy Nelson WR

3rd round
#66 Trevor Laws DT

Option 3
If the Chiefs feel they need another QB to have in the pipeline behind Brodie, but do not want it to be the high dollar cost of Ryan at #5, they can pick Brohm at #17 before Miami and Atlanta get their second pick

1st round
#5  Branden Albert LT (or OT of your choice)
#17 Brian Brohm QB

2nd round
#35 Brandon Flowers CB
#47 Anthony Collins RT

3rd round
#66 Trevor Laws DT

Option 4
If the Chiefs feel they must replace Jared with the highest pick possible, they could go this route. I don't like Gholston personally, I think he is a bust in the making, but he may be viewed as the BPA

1st round
#5  Vernon Gholston DE
#17 Gosder Cherilus RT

2nd round
#35 Sam Baker LT
#47 Chevis Jackson CB

3rd round
#66 Trevor Laws DT

Just some ideas of some options we would have with the extra picks from the Jared Allen trade.  What would really hurt us in the short run is if the Vikings sign Jared to an offer sheet AFTER the draft in which we would get their 1st round picks in 2009 and 2010.  That will really put the squeeze on us this year, but may allow us to get better players in the long run.
