Arrowhead Pride Community Mock Draft -- Pick #15 by the Detroit Lions

And with the #15 pick in the 2008 Arrowhead Pride Community Mock Draft, the Detroit Lions select:

Pittsburgh OT Jeff Otah

Draft Profile

Chiefs n Chopper with the pick:

The Lions have one of the best receiving tandems in the league, and a quarterback who's capable of getting the ball to him. After re-signing Tatum Bell to a deal this off-season, they're hoping he'll be able to handle the load at running back. Leaving it up to their offensive line to get the job done, which isn't likely with the state it's in right now. The Lions gave up the most sacks last year, and so the first step to correcting this problem is drafting Otah. After this pick, look for them to start addressing their defensive line, which they would have done if Harvey were still around, but since he's gone, the other guys might be a reach at 15.

1. Miami Dolphins - QB Matt Ryan
2. St. Louis Rams - OT Jake Long
3. Atlanta Falcons - DT Glenn Dorsey
4. Oakland Raiders - DE Chris Long
5. Kansas City Chiefs - DT Sedrick Ellis
6. New York Jets - RB Darren McFadden
7. New England Patriots - DL Vernon Gholston
8. Baltimore Ravens - OT Ryan Clady
9. Cincinnati Bengals - OLB Keith Rivers
10. New Orleans Saints - CB Mike Jenkins
11. Buffalo Bills - CB Leodis McKelvin
12. Denver Broncos - OT Chris Williams
13. Carolina Panthers - DE Derrick Harvey
14. Chicago Bears - RB Rashard Mendenhall
15. Detroit Lions - OT Jeff Otah

On the clock: Arizona Cardinals (Monday AM - jimme)

The draft will resume Monday morning with the #16 pick. I'm going to try to grab some pictures of this Chiefs event in KC today so hopefully I'll have some pictures up over the weekend.

Don't know much about Otah
CNC, did you think it was too early for Jonathan Stewart?

Unsure about Stewart
Read somewhere that he had surgery and was gonna be out 4-6 months, and the Lions are like the Chiefs with a lot of needs, but I think you need to start with the o-line and go from there.  (Had Mendenhall or Harvey been there, I would have gone with either of them)
