"We knew when you take away (Thigpen's) first guy, he didn't really go to the second or third. . . . Knowing the situation . . . I knew the ball had to come out quick. If it didn't, he was going to tuck it and run, and I just read him the whole time."

It's unfortuante we have become
that predictable. Bones needs weapons.
We need a future defensive leader, his name is James Laurinaitis and he can be selected in round 1 of the upcoming Draft.

Part of that
Should be attributed to the loss of Mark Bradley.

I don't understand completely
why the Bears cut Bradley. But, injuries were a major factor. Bradley is frustrating in that he shows so much promise. He’s just never on the field enough. He never will be.

Why did they cut Justin Gage?
Why did they trade Thomas Jones?
The Bears evidently draft well (after the 1st round), they just can’t evaluate talent well. As pointed out earlier by other posters it sure doesn’t help when you have Rex Grossman (seasons prior) leading your offense..

Really?
And the Chiefs have some kind of great track record of evaluating talent? TJ was a mistake forced by the contract Benson was holding. Gage wasn’t a mistake.
Still, the point is that, despite his talent, if you’re counting on Bradley being a consistent contributor on any offense, you’re going to be disappointed.

That's the knock on him
I heard good things (especially considering he was a 2nd rd pick) but the knock was always the injury bug.

Never insinuated
the Chiefs were great talent evaluators. In fact, I think we’re worse than the Bears…
Bradley has played signifcantly less, but Gage has still put up respectable #‘s this season. Respectable enough that if he was on my old team I’d want him back..

He doesn't need weapons
he has them. It’s funny how Tyler’s big knock is he doesn’t spread the ball around when comparatively he does it much better than Croyle ever did. Brodie could just never stay healthy long enough to play and therefore people didn’t see the extent of it. Bones has receivers wide open he just locks on to TG & Bowe way too much which is a terrible habit he’s forming. I hope they’re addressing this in their meetings and he begins going thru his progressions and finding guys like Franklin who are often wide open

it will ocme with experience, I hope
At the moment the first places he looks to is TG then DBowe, I hope with experience he will take a bit more time to look down field to the open guys. Like you said though, could be forming a bad habit.
Blame my wife!
