"It always helps the quarterback when he can bail himself out and make a first down running the football," Chiefs coach Herm Edwards said. "Especially on third down, when they can get out and make a play with his legs. . . . They can move the chains."
"The biggest thing is, it's just been fun," Thigpen said. "It's like you're going out there and playing backyard football."
