Kevin Faulk or Leon Washington????Help!
Alright, playoff game (didn't win last week for the bye)
I can't decide if I should go w/ Faulk or Washington. I know faulk has been getting the "load" for the patriots lately so i'm leaning towards him (+ he is leading in points). They both have virtually identical matchups and are both great for PPR. Projections are even identical. But neither get a ton of touches.
I just know everyone on here is savvy, so i'm just looking for a little extra input. Last week I got some good help (even though it was the wrong decision, It was the safer choice). Lotta money on the line! ($100 buy in)
Thanks!

Toss-Up
I’d say Washington, because he usually puts up points, but you just never know how Belichick’s going to use Faulk in any given game. My suggestion would be to look at who’s put up the most points this season and go with that guy. I think it’ll probably end up being Washington.
The Chiefs should win 5 to 6 games this year and no less than 4 for this season to be considered progress in any way. If he can't win at least 9 games next season, Herm's a joke.

Washington
Faulk never puts up as many points even knowing Leon isn’t a guarantee, when he does put up points it’s usually a lot.

Washington
His big play ability is just to much to pass on. He might not get alot of touches, but when he does he usually makes the best out of them. Plus this is a very big rebound game for the Jets so I look to see them utilize there biggest playmaker even more this week

Leon vs Faulk
Washington was my initial @ first, w/o hesitation. But then I started to look into it more…
Everything you guys said were my exact thoughts. But when I compared them:
LW- 61 carries for 326yds, 4TD; 34 rec for 288yds, 2TD
131.50 total Fantasy Points, 10.96pt AVG/G
Worst Showing- 4.0pts, Best- 25.10pts
-<(less than)10pts- 6x,
.>(greater)20pts- 2x
Faulk- 73car for 445, 3TD; 43rec for 363, 1TD
147pts, 13.45AVG/G
Worst- 2.8, Best- 22.5
-<10pts- 3x, >20pts- 3x
So Faulk basically wins across the board… And that’s where I decided to look for more opinions…. Does that change any of your minds?

None really.... They're all even
1pt / 10yds rushing or recieving (decimals do count)
1pt / reception
6pt / TD
3pt bonus for 100 receiving yards / 125 rushing yards
1pt bonus for 10 catches (i got tony : )
-1pt for fumbles

not in ESPN
its
10 Yds Rushing = 1 PT
10 Yds Receiving = 1 PT
Touchdown = 6 PT
Fumbles = – 2 Pts

RTSports
I love it. You set up your own points, starts, rules, everything. You got your own commish. It’s awesome. I’ll never use anything else.

Another thing I just noticed...
If they went head to head every week, Faulk would win 7-4. (take away week 1 for Faulk’s suspension [Leon only scored 4.6pts anyway]) And Washington’s 4 wins equal an average of 4.2pts of separation over Faulk.
P.S. SF is 24th vs RBs and 26th vs Overall Offense
SEA is 23rd vs RBs and 32nd vs Offense

What are the passing defensive stats?
That is where Leon gets all of his points. He is a receiving threat over a running threat.

Pass Def Rankings
San Francisco – 28th
Seattle- 32nd
by Dustin SLO,CA on Dec 4, 2008 2:14 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
VS RBs Stats
the vs RBs stat previously mentioned is actually from my league points allowed vs runninbacks period. So Rushing, Passing whatever… Sea is 23rd vs Runningbacks and dead last vs all offense. The Pass Defensive rankings are from NFL rankings vs pass. Which, by the way, ranks Seattle 22nd vs the rush and San Fran 16th.

I'm still not sold
Leon is hot and the Jets offense can put up big points, where as It seems the Pats are putting up all their pionts with the passing game with randy moss, wes, and jabar.

Another + for Faulk
Faulk 5 100 combo yard games
Washington 1 100 combo yard games
I think I’m going w/ Faulk…
Washington’s like trying to go for the Homerun with a guy who’s only batting .100 I feel like.

Ok
Ill be the guy saying I told you so. Haha I’m only kidding of course. I’m playing Leon this week over Jamal Lewis which is a high risk high reward. But my league also has two RB and a WR/RB so I have Chris Johnson and Maurice Jones-Drew also. Good luck!
by Shawn on Dec 4, 2008 10:06 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I Wouldn't Play Jamal Lewis Either
Not with Ken Dorsey as the QB for Cleveland. That’s got all the hallmarks of Cleveland being worse than Detroit to finish the year.

Flex
washington’s only my flex. I got Addai and Turner. And brees is my QB. I’ve actually got the highest scoring team by a couple hundred points… : )

Maurice Morris
What do you guys think about starting Morris over both of those? He has just been named starter this week… I didn’t even consider him originally, but now he might get more touches than both of them.

Meh
He plays for Seattle doesn’t he? Avoid all Seattle offensive players this season.

I'm curious as to WHY though?
I feel the same way (I appreciate the help by the way, I know this is pretty futile), I’m just not sure why. Every other time I had to play one of the 2, I put Washington in. No hesitation, at least once Sammy Morris returned. But I literally have a piece of binder paper FILLED front and back of research comparing the 2 (w/ a lil bit of morris) and EVERYTHING says Faulk is the better play. But, for some reason, we all think Washington is and I dont know why!
The only reason I’m stressing over this one slot is cuz his (opponent’s) backs are LT, Forte and Hillis so he’s gonna have a huge day. I’m glad LT only got 91 and 1 TD! So I need everypoint I can get.

Because Washington Has The Highest Ceiling Out Of All Of Those Players
He’s only had three games this season where he put up less than 5 points in our league (we use standard settings for RBs, no points for receptions or carries) and three games of 15 or more points within the last 6 weeks. As a flex play he’s one of the best you’re going to find. Faulk’s a pretty decent play…he’s had some big games too and is more consistent in weekly points but he lacks the explosiveness of Washington and his ceiling is a bit lower (although you have slightly less chance of a bad game, he probably isn’t as capable of the great game). Since the matchups are basically a wash (both have road games against NFC West opponents) it depends on your preference, I suppose…the “safe” move is to play Faulk and take his guaranteed point, but if your lineup might struggle for points this week and you seriously need a big performance Washington’s your guy.
Don’t go with Morris…he’s had one good game this year and beyond that he’s been wretched.

Clarification
Faulk’s had 3 15+ point games in the last 6 weeks too, but he also hasn’t had games as big as Washington’s best either. Either brings with him risks.
The Chiefs should win 5 to 6 games this year and no less than 4 for this season to be considered progress in any way. If he can't win at least 9 games next season, Herm's a joke.

And Good Luck Against Your Opponent
I’ve got Forte on my team and I’m optimistic for a big week. The dude’s been one of the most consistent RBs in football this year (not bad for an 8th round pick). Who are your opponent’s other players?

I got Forte in my other league
And I’m 1st place by 2 games w/ a bye so I want him to do bad : ) sorry… I think I got him maybe 5th or sixth round though (#10 pick)
I don’t really need huge points out of this flex… just decent.
My starting: QB- Brees, RB 1&2- Turner, Addai, Flex (RB3,WR4,TE2) Faulk/Washington, WR 1,2&3- White, Bowe & Moore, TE- TG, K- Crosby, Def- NYJ (points only for picks, fumbles, S/T TDs, Sacks and a bonus for under 10pts)
His QB- McNabb, RBs- Forte,LT, Hillis, WRs- Marshall, Berrian, J.Reed (benched M.Jenkins) TE- Sheffler, K- Akers, Def- AZ
In every aspect of predicting, i should win. Trust Me I’ve done the comparisons. Avg points, individual averages, match-ups, projections, start/bench, everything… This one spot could be the make or break though… (knock on wood)
It’s funny, my other teams much more stacked but i have a lot less total points but more wins. I mean consistently scored less in that league than the other.
My bench by the way: Favre, Morris, Norwood, Hester (D), Keller, (Faulk/Washington)

You've Probably Got It
Turner’s got a favorable matchup this week and your WR corps along with your edge at the QB position sinks his team this week. I think your WR1 is basically a wash but Bowe always does well against Denver and Berrian has only a so-so week because the Vikings are going to go to ground with AP and Taylor against the Lions. Scheffler will be a wildcard for him because with KC’s linebacking corps in the state it’s in he could have a huge game.
The Chiefs should win 5 to 6 games this year and no less than 4 for this season to be considered progress in any way. If he can't win at least 9 games next season, Herm's a joke.

Exactly how I feel
I feel like Berrian could have a huge day, but they probably won’t have to throw at all. But if they want to, it’s there. And anything from Brees to Moore is like a double bonus for me, 1 TD = 12 pts + yds + reception. I’m worried about the Bowe and Marshall match-up. Marshall gets way more looks, especially lately because Bowe’s have declined. (PPR)

Denver's D Is Going To Have Plenty To Worry About
Champ Bailey’s expected to be out for this Sunday, so Bowe should have a huge day, as should Tony G.

He's Been Disappointing All Year
Before the season started I actually offered one guy in our league Matt Forte for Joseph Addai straight up. Man, am I glad he laughed off that trade…now he’s watching my team run through the playoffs. :)

Hey...
If Peyton Hillis is still available pick him up. This guy has been a god send off waivers.

He's got him!
I’ve had every bronco back! I drafted Young, picked up Pittman, Free Agented (?) Torain (and started him, still gave me great numbers for only 1qtr) but i had given up on them once Hillis came around… figured he’d end up on IR too.
