Yes
A Chiefs loss and a Rams Win, and the Chiefs pick 2rd. Chiefs win, Rams lose, Chiefs pick 3rd. If both win or lose, then it’s a tie and basically the picks alternate rounds (I think)

The Chiefs need to be playoff contenders in 2009 for me to consider improvement. Clark wanted it in 2008...I'll give them an additional year.
Thigpen WILL NOT be the Chiefs starting QB next year IMO. He can compete for the job and should be 2nd or 3rd string.
geez
no running plays horrible. come on guys feed johnson the ball. we need to try somethings, cant just keep throwing it.

If we're playing this poorly in the 1st half....
how are we going to look in the 2nd after Herm throws in the towel?
maybe

Thank God this is the NFL and not the NBA
Or else we’d be tied to that LJ contract like an anchor.
(hopefully I understand that right)

LJ's not going anywhere.
Contract is too hard to move plus he’s just an average NFL running back.

y get rid of him
i think he ran good this year. givin our poor line. he’s 100 yards from LT and LJ missed 5 games. LJ if it were not for those 5 games missed would most likely be top 5 rusher this year. you guys hate on him so much. give him some more help up front and he’ll be productive. u guys want him to be 2005 form without the 2005 line. doesnt make sence.

but he's so highly praised
yes he is running like shit, everyone is dissing LJ cuz he’s not running like he was in 05, he has no 05 line. guy still has near 900 yards missing 5 games. he has better yards per carry then most of the running backs in the league. if LJ was so horrible then how come jamal charles, which i like the guy, gain huge amount of yards in those 5 games? he had 1 – 100 yard game, that was it. that shows our line isnt doing its job in opening holes. hell looking at the raiders they open bigger and more holes then chiefs line does. if LJ had that to run through, man, he’d have a 1600+ yard season.

cuz our line

Our D is playing typically bad
Did we even game plan for this game? It’s obvious Cincy did because they gashed us with the same 1st play Miami ran last week for a TD… thank God Andre Caldwell isn’t Ted Ginn Jr. or the result would have been the same.
If we play worse in the 2nd half, like we have all year, this is going to set some kind of record for sucking. 50 yards in the first half… wow. Is it possible to do worse?

I wonder how he is at WR and if he’s worth keeping on the roster for a specialty?
Thigpen proves hes not our qb of the future
Poor arm strength, lack of accuracy and decision making, inability to make plays when we need them.
I love the chiefs but I hate Chiefs fans. They always jump on the bandwagon of anyone who shows any promise.
Thigpen shows as much promise as Farve did
before he went to Green Bay. No one thought he would be a lock HOF when he played for the Falcons. I see a lot of similarities.

WE NEED CHANGE
by all means keep thigpen on the team next year and I think charles could be really solid but lets not get ahead of ourselves. we need a qb with a high pick in the draft and would probably be wise to look for a capable rb soon. lj is not the answer

Chiefs fans get excited about any little signs of promise. This is the reason why Carl Peterson was in town for 19 years and the reason why we’ve had croyle and thigpen has our qbs. Lets stop this. Thigpen is a career backup. A great one! Lets be happy and move on and get a new qb PLEASE

We need a line first.
If we had a QB that wasn’t as mobile as Thigpen, the season would have been worse. I agree with you that we should pick up a QB in the draft but we need to protect the investment first. If Thigpen turns out to be a solid backup, even better for the Chiefs.

Well Well Well
For one thing I guess the fellas didn’t like Herm as much as he/we thought they did cuz they sure laid down on him. Lenny and Mitch crack me up, Lenny with his “geez”. I feel like I need a shower…actively rooting against my beloved Chiefs :/
The fellas?
You mean Lenny and Mitch? Watching it on TV—what they saying?

the fellas
Naw the “fellas” are the team. I thought they would fight for him. Lenny and Mitch were funny but they didn’t rach Herman.
IT'S GOOD!!

Wow...6 pts.
against the 25th rated Defense in the league
and 16pts. given up to the 32nd (league worst) Offense in the league

The Chiefs need to be playoff contenders in 2009 for me to consider improvement. Clark wanted it in 2008...I'll give them an additional year.
Thigpen WILL NOT be the Chiefs starting QB next year IMO. He can compete for the job and should be 2nd or 3rd string.
we grabbed the cat...
and proceeded to suck its ass for all it was worth

How good is Pittsburgh's D?
Big Ben goes out with a concussion and they are still winning 31-0. We need that kind of D.
AND...how good is their backup QB to keep putting points on the board?

Leftwich
Give him 3 yards of clearance and 10 seconds to wind up and he does quite well

We got the 3rd pick in the draft.

I don't think so....we have the 2nd due to strength of schedule vs. the Rams

You got me worried there for a sec.....BUT it was close, you're right. The strength of schedule difference was VERY small

I think you are wrong
If we have the stronger schedule then they get the 2nd pick. We needed 3 out 5…Bucs, Colts, Giants, Bears and Niners to win correct? Bucs, Giants and Bears lost. So we lost? What am I missing?
It was on TV and they showed strength of schedule. OUR schedule was harder/stronger ergo we get the 2nd pick.

AFC West's '08 Defining Moment
Raiders score 17 unanswered to beat Bucs on the road. Can this be true?
Herm is delusional
Talking about coming in and evaluating talent and getting ready for the Senior Bowl. Herm better bring his Intendo Wi in have a scotch and relax.
lucky you
