Dorsey is a butterball, a Jerry Ball, a three-technique tackle who should line up on the outside shoulder of the guard and explode upfield. That’s the only way he can be successful in the NFL. As long as he lines up helmet to helmet with a guard, he’ll remain a line-of-scrimmage statue.
"He has no chance in pass rush," guard Brian Waters told me. "I love it when a guy lines head-up."

Whitlock
The bastard son of Carl Peterson, and Oprah? I actually laughed out loud. Does he have a legitimate point?
Lets hope Clark lets the new GM start fresh, with his guys. Who would want a coach, who has lost twice as many as he has won in KC?
Legitimate Point
Yes, I think he does have a legitimate point. He looks EXACTLY like the bastard son of Carl and Oprah.
Herm had always talked about Dorsey in the 3 technique, so I don’t know if this is Whitlock making up a story as he goes (as usual) or if they switch around and Whitlock just saw him playing the under tackle on a couple plays.
Could be too that they decided to switch him to the under tackle for the rest of this season because of his weight issues or because its just what they needed to do with him to get the run stopped (and our run defense has been better for the most part the 2nd half of the season).
Dorsey has rarely been in the 3-tech
even early in the season – I suspect this is because our LB corp is so shoddy that we need both DT’s ensuring that O-linemen don’t get to the second level.
So I agree with the incompetence of the coaches
but does this also explain the play of Tank? I just cannot believe that we would whiff on two DT in two seasons. But then again, I am not ready to even think of writing either one of them off until we get a legitimate D line coach and Def Coord.
We need a future defensive leader, his name is James Laurinaitis and he can be selected in round 1 of the upcoming Draft.
"But what do I know, I’m like an empty room with a large ECHO"
Tank is built like an undertackle
he is considerably larger than Dorsey.
Dorsey probably did gain some weight – not unusual for a rookie lineman – he’ll probably get his conditioning on track in the offseason.
When did they switch Dorsey?
The last two weeks we were actually getting pressure on the QB from the outside.
Indecision is the key to flexibility
trying to tell
if you are kidding with that second setence. I’m going to assume that was a joke as our inability to draft D linemen is infamously bad.
I dont know much about the technical stuff...
…But Whitlock doesn’t either…AT ALL
He lost all credibility with me (and should with you too) when he said Dorsey was already more of a bust than Sims a few weeks back (even though it is statistically unfounded by any means)….
Huh?
Whitlock was a star offensive lineman in HS and played at Ball State and has covered the sport since graduating. I trust his opinion on the technical stuff.

Dorsey is a butterball
I’ve seen more muscle tone in a spoonful of Crisco. He looks like he hasn’t worked out a day since he was drafted.I’m not calling the guy a bust (yet) but he hasn’t been the force of reckoning he was billed as going into the draft. Hit the weight for goodness sake and come back next season like you want to be here.
