Has anyone else noticed....?
LJ is only 144 more rushing yards from a 1,000 yard season?
And everyone who has already passed that mark, has carried @ least 65 more times (which is about 3 games worth i'd guess). Besides Jacobs, w/ 36 more carries and Turner (leader), has 168 more carries...
(LJ's 25th in carries by the way) Oh shit! And he's actually #11 in yards per game!
I was just pleasantly surprised by this....

Would be cool
if they designed a gameplan to give him max carries against Cinci. I want him to reach 1k

Understandable
Begin sarcasm
I mean he IS the ultimate team player…lets let him get some individual praise for once. I mean he’s tireless, doing all the dirty work, never does anything to bring attention to himself…ever.
Sarcasm over
I say we try to win the game.

only he is to blame for that one
We need a future defensive leader, his name is James Laurinaitis and he can be selected in round 1 of the upcoming Draft.

He seems to like the spread
When LJ first came back he was not letting his blocks develope and he was getting killed, I don’t think he trusted any of his blockers. But as the weeks have gone along I noticed that he is setting up his blocks better and following the design of the plays very well. This has lead to him being very productive when running the football, I think the spread should be here to stay but they need to stop forgetting about LJ in the second half of the games.

And you guys thought I was crazy....
… for defending #27’s play.
Me and UC are currently in a (somewhat) bet of whether or not LJ reaches 1,000.
We may be "playing to win the game", but it seems like we're coaching to lose.

1,000 yards rushing is vastly overrated
If you pay a full 16 games it’s only averaging 62.5 a game…that’s not a lot. Even with the 3 games he lost it’s only averaging 77 a game. Those aren’t stellar numbers.
I realize the offense doesn’t give him the carries a back like Petterson gets but 1,000 yards just isn’t impressive any more.

UC?
Did you change your name…….? : )

I don't know about you...
But, I think 1,000 is very impressive. There are 12 guys who are over 1,000. And 4 of those guys have BARELY gone over (by 89 yards or less). All these guys are starters. Therefore going over 1,000 is their goal. And ofcourse 77 yards a game is not a stellar average, but I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… LOOK AT THE CIRCUMSTANCES. You take away 4 games from LJ, horrid coaching that HAS TO resort to the Arrow-spread formation, and the abandoning of the run in 2nd halves, then you got yourself a 77 yard runner a game. LJ or no LJ.
We may be "playing to win the game", but it seems like we're coaching to lose.

He should have got the ball a lot more yesterday.
Everytime he was given the ball it was positive and he ran hard. That is what kills our team in the second half when we have a lead. We don’t run the ball near enough.
Indecision is the key to flexibility

Exactly...
And THATS where you blame Herm on clock management.

Im wearing my LJ jersey right now!
For all you yahoos that thinks its a great idea to trade LJ. Whos gonna want to play in KC right now? And whos out there that any better the LJ, that we have a shot at signing? Brandon Jacobs isnt leaving the Giants. If the grass is greener on the other side, its time to water yours some more!

Thats right!
Same here…
LJ all day…. Or it WOULD be “LJ all day” if they gave him the f’ing ball more.
We may be "playing to win the game", but it seems like we're coaching to lose.

I agree
At the beginning of the season when we had a new qb every quarter it was all on LJ to carry the ball every other play and make something happen. Now that we have stability and a decent passing game, Herm seems to think abandoning the run is a good idea. That’s just my opinion but the case can be made looking at the 2 games vs. Denver (a sad sorry team more so the 2nd time).
Week 4 LJ 198 Yards – Chiefs 33 Broncos 19
Week 14 LJ 36 Yards – Broncos 24 Chiefs 17
LJ is still a valuable asset and I would be willing to bet that if he gets his 1000 yard season we’d also get another win.
