It looks like the playing career of Donnie Edwards with the Chiefs is over.

The Chiefs placed Edwards on the injured reserve list on Friday and promoted DT Derek Lokey to the active roster.

That figures to be the final act of Edwards second trip with the Chiefs.

Thats great

Not great about Edwards but about Lokey, I’ve liked the guy alot since Texas and when we signed him I was excited. Im hopin he makes a good case to stay on the active roster.

Edwards and Lokey

Good for Lokey I remember him at Texas also. As far as Donnie Edwards sad end to his at least KC career. One thing with as many hamstring injuries as the team had you have to wonder about the training and conditioning.

Donnie Edwards, next linebacker coach?

Lets hope Clark lets the new GM start fresh, with his guys. Who would want a coach, who has lost twice as many as he has won in KC?

It would be an upgrade

We need a future defensive leader, his name is James Laurinaitis and he can be selected in round 1 of the upcoming Draft.

He probably wants to finish up his degree

I think he is working on his doctorate in history…

He Did A WWII Historical Reenactment, I Seem To Recall

As a paratrooper in Normandy, I think.

Edwards strikes me as a guy who’s too interested in having a life to be a football coach.

Herm Edwards will not be the Chiefs' head coach next season.

And

According to this interview, he has zero interest in coaching.
