LOL
They say Brodies below average in looks, but probably has the best looking wife. I guess Peyton Mannings the exception.

Haynesworth would be great but..
do we need to spend all that cash on a position where we “should” have adequate talent at? Unless thats the only FA out there this coming offseason thats worth a darn then I say yes, get him on this team. Otherwise save the cash for another FA for LB, DE, or OL.

We Should Always Be Looking To Add Elite Talent If It's An Upgrade
But while Haynesworth is obviously the best DT on the market and would be a force on KC’s line, I don’t think the Chiefs should pursue him for superstar money. He’s been in the league 7 years and hasn’t played a full season since his rookie year. He’s missed at least two games every season since then and he’s out with a knee injury for the last two games this year. That’s a significant injury history.
Herm Edwards will not be the Chiefs' head coach next season.

Haynesworth would be nice
but he’s going to be pricey – he will probably end up being the highest paid DT in the game – and that’s a tall order for KC to pony up for.
The only major knock on him is that he has not once finished a full 16 game season as a starter. Usually due to injury, and once due to stomping on Andre Gurode’s melon.
In the past it was said that he would take plays off – but it seems like he has matured and is now ferocious most of the time – perhaps he was motivated in contract years. He had stipulations in his franchise contract that if met, prevented the Titans from franchising him a 2nd time.
The guy is dominant, and still young. He’ll be 28 at the start of next season. I can’t imagine how awesome he would be up front with Dorsey. The whole D would benefit from his kind of disruption in the middle. I heard on the radio the other day that the Titans give up an average of 100 yards more rushing per game that he doesn’t play. That’s hardcore.

It'd be interesting to see what affect that would have on our DE's
Bringing in a guy like Haynesworth and pairing him with Dorsey should completely clog up the middle, and I wonder if something like that would free up our DE’s more to get to the QB. If that’s the case, I’m all for it and then focus on MLB and QB in the first rounds of the draft.
However, since this is still a young, rebuilding team, will Haynesworth still be at the top of his game when the Chiefs (hopefully) finally make their playoff/super bowl run? If not, then I think the money could be better spent on stopgaps while we wait for our young players to develop.

Maybe he could
teach our young d-tackles some of the nastiness it takes to be an effective d-tackle, you know some attitude.
Lets hope Clark lets the new GM start fresh, with his guys. Who would want a coach, who has lost twice as many as he has won in KC?

Thoughts on Albert Haynesworth becoming a Chief?
Too bad we didn’t stay put at the 8th spot in the 2002 draft and pick him there instead of trading up to get the ultra bust Ryan Sims.
He would be a monster with the Chiefs and would help the entire line. Dorsey is a rookie and he is double teamed on every play, if Haynesworth was next to him opposing teams would be forced to keep an extra blocker in. Either that or our line would kill them, you can’t double team both tackles and still block the DEs unless you bring extra help and both Dorsey and Haynesworth have the ability to kill single blockers.

For The Games He Stayed Healthy
Which according to his career numbers generally falls between 10 and 14 per season.
Plus, after seven years in the NFL multiple injuries like that have a way of taking a toll.

Regarding greatest Chiefs
Anybody else wonder how addict left Bobby FREAKIN Bell out of the top SIXTEEN Greatest Chiefs ever?

Thats why I disagree with doing anything like those
I would guess most people on here didn’t get to see Bobby Bell play for the Chiefs.
We need a future defensive leader, his name is James Laurinaitis and he can be selected in round 1 of the upcoming Draft.
