I want to keep Herm, and no I am not retarted
The truth is, I want to see where this team ends up next year. I want Herm to realize that he can and has to put faith in his progressing offense. Last week I wanted to see them go for it on fourth down both times; he learned that he should have. I can not stomach more personnel changes, more play changes, more CHANGE at all. I want to ride this out for one more year. I honestly believe next year will be great, I think we will be the titans of this year; perhaps not super bowl contenders but damnit we will be talked about on ESPN. One more year is all I want from Herm; he made a team that I love and I want to see if it works. Do you not love this team as it is? Is it not abosultely great to value and respect all the young talent whose first NFL experience is as a Chief? I mean hell I can only love Ty Law so much for every time I picture him I see a freakin Patriots jersey on him. And I am not talking about the greats like Tony G and Brain Waters. I am talking about Jamaal Charles, Brad Cottom, Tamba Hali, D. Johnson, Branden Albert, Glen Dorsey, Mike Cox, and all those other 1-3 year players. I am excited about them much more than I would be excited about any peterson signed vet, that will end up retiring as some other team member. I am excited about this team win or lose because they are young guys who I fault none at all. I give Herm some leniacy for two reasons: 1- he is a stupid defense minded coach who is now realizing that offense is a better seller and just as important as defense, and 2 he built this team as it stands and has not yet been given the chance to see them blossom into successful young talent. I do think they will be better next year, I do. I think they will be even better the year after that. I do not have to stress about oh crap **** is retiring, or **** is becoming a free agent. The players as they stand are Chiefs. The players as they stand are committed to each other. The players as they stand only know the Chiefs. They will be good, this I can promise. Have patience and it will be rewarded. Personally, I could not tolerate more of the reckless free agent signings of the past five years while our players aged, I much prefer blossoming youth.
And yes, most players that have been drafted under Herm have been promising
And I think play calling needs some improvent
And I am really drunk

haha
awesome. That last line really made me laugh.
Anyways, some of the things you said I’m not really in agreement with like offense is just as important as defense. However, I do think that Herm should get one more season to see if this thing is turning the corner. I think it means something if players are happy and they want to play for their coach. Well Herm Edwards was in the Top 5 Coaches NFL Players want to play for list that came out. That means a lot to me.
Another reason a GM might want to do this is that if he doesn’t bring his guy in the first season, then he has a little window where he really isn’t being evaluated except for on the player personnel standpoint (The most important thing IMO).

Maybe the last line has something to do with that irony

Do not worry
he can watch them blossom on Sunday just like the rest of us!:)
Lets hope Clark lets the new GM start fresh, with his guys. Who would want a coach, who has lost twice as many as he has won in KC?

I'd be satisfied with one more year
He started the necessary work, I’d hope the new GM will work with him to see it throught the next season. I would like to see some specific coaching changes in specialty areas and a good def coach to assist Gunther, but I am really wanting to see Herm succeed with this plan, with the Chiefs.

retarted = retarded
We need a future defensive leader, his name is James Laurinaitis and he can be selected in round 1 of the upcoming Draft.

By The Way, Faith
Don’t take it personally when I use that phrase again (which I’m probably going to do)…misspellings and grammatical errors happen to all of us. I’m just going to have some fun with it and it’s not intended to be at your expense.

The Chiefs need to be playoff contenders in 2009 for me to consider improvement. Clark wanted it in 2008...I'll give them an additional year.

Agree, but I am suspicious
I hope Edwards stays around as well. The only exeption might be if they can land cowher.
I was wondering. Is it a coincidence that “I have faith”‘s first post came shortly after HIV2Elway’s first day banned. Is that you. Don’t think you can be nice and we won’t figure you out.
