The Rookies
I know that having so many rookies on your team. Atleast one or two of them are going to show good signs. I'd say our corners including Maurice Legget have looked pretty darn good. We must have a good D Back coach. Or it may actually be Herm. I was just wondering who you guys think are the stand out rookies. And who the failures are. There is still time for some of them to become dominant. Hopefully I'm talking about Glenn Dorsey there.

Brandon Flowers
seems to be playing the best IMO. Dorsey gets a free pass this year because of our investment in him and because this defense has generally been crap. Tough to learn in this environment.

My boy...
Branden Albert. Got to love the big nasties.

Unquestionably
Both CB’s have been impressive, but there was no reason to expect Albert to be as reliable as he has been this year. Even with the spread getting some of the credit, the pass blocking has unquestionably been improved.

Between Albert and Flowers
Both have come in and played more than acceptable at very important positions.

Kicker?
Not that kickers are really football players but at the risk of jinxing the Barth man, I couldn’t help but notice that he is perfect so far this season. Since we have to have one on the team, might as well have a perfect one. Not that I am superstitious but I knocked on wood after making that statement. If he starts stinking up the place, I assume no responsibility.

Carr. I love Albert and Flowers, but the 5th Round, D-II CB has been a solid starter. Carr is outperforming his draft position.

Good point
Carr is the overachiever in the class, similiar to Page of his.

B (dot) Flowers!!
This kid is our Champ Bailey
Brandon Flowers is the reason why we don’t need to look much further for high priced CBs (i.e. DeAngelo Hall). And He’ll be the reason why we don’t pick up a CB in the first 3 (maybe 4) rounds of the draft.
Flowers is such an upgrade to a one Ty Law. And I think Flowers will soon become (what they call) a “COMPLETE Cornerback”

I see your point
and agree

Never count on herm
to stop drafting corners or dbs.
that said I think this draft has lived up to expectations. Not to mention the 3 un-drafted rookies having good years, Barth, Leggett and Cox. Not bad scouting some of the supposed after thoughts.

Don't forget about Jamal Charles
The stats aren’t exactly there but it’s easy to see that on a good team he could be very valuable.

Charles has alot of potential. But it seems when he gets the ball he is always thinking Big play. Making him jumpy and sometimes not gaining all the yards he could get. I do like him though.

a good running back coach can help solve that
but you cant hold that against him in terms of inner desire and competitiveness, not saying you did. :)

Carr
He is the invisible man, and as a corner there cannot be a higher compliment. Teams just don’t even bother to throw at him any more. It will be interesting to watch the three corners and see who ends up the best in a year or two. My money is on Carr.

I definitely think he will be one the number 1 WR more and more
especially when we play teams with a bigger #1 (like TO, or ol’ leg-shooter =) )

Agreed
Carr, especially considering where he came from, is the biggest surprise in my eyes. I would have been happy if he could have handled nickel responsibilities by now…so ya he is doing good. Johnston is a little bit of a disappointment to me, i was psyched for him. After viewing his pro day numbers i had visions of a Jared Allen look-a-like roaming the Arrowhead Turf once again (i died a little bit inside when we traded him but that is here nor there). That being said he barely got any snaps and was injured so the jury is still out on him. He just seemed to get stood up a lot, even on pass rushes which i thought would be his strength. I really think Cottam is gonna be a superstar, not today or tomorrow or next year but i think with some tuteledge from TG he has the chance to be a good ballplayer. His stock rises even more if he continues to develop alongside ’bones and creates some chemistry. A Jason Dunn body with 4.6 speed and good hands from what we have seen so far.

Anyone notice since
James Saxon went to Miami, their rbs have thrived? Wonder where Jamaal would be with Saxon?
At least 10-6 next year taking our division, or Herm goes.
