Predictions?

27-20 Chargers. I hate picking against the Chiefs but I don’t see any reason why LT won’t light us up today.

by Joel Thorman on Nov 9, 2008 2:04 PM CST reply actions

24-18 Chiefs

Why? Cause WE say so.

OR, alternatively, 34-27 Chiefs, LT goes down in the 3rd.

Forget LT

I’m projecting Sprolles to burn us a new one

pissed

i’m in cali, i was hoping to see em on tv since theyre playing the chargers. but no theyre gonna play colts and steelers. what a crock of shit.

by nfamous209 on Nov 9, 2008 2:06 PM CST reply actions

That should be a good game as well

Chiefs/Chargers isn’t exactly a big TV draw.

by Joel Thorman on Nov 9, 2008 2:09 PM CST up reply actions

true

but i wanna see atleast a cali team. and its surprising, chargers are always on tv here.

There’s that Chiefs podcast on iTunes, can’t remember who does it or its name or whatever, but it’s the #1 subscribed to Chiefs podcast. Anyways, this summer, the dude repeatedly referred to the kicker, #5, as “Barth Connor”.

nice tackle, carr

any time there’s a pitch play it always makes me nervous. we seem to get burned on those plays.

by thehulk on Nov 9, 2008 3:48 PM CST reply actions

yep, a lot of luck on D

comes from pressure, and playing heads up. this one was just a flat-out over-throw, but we’ve created some turnovers on hustle and hard hitting the last couple weeks.

by thehulk on Nov 9, 2008 3:52 PM CST up reply actions

lets get another drive going and get another TD on the board.

They are hitting. And a lot of times, the tackling will be sloppy because they are trying to rip the ball EVERY TIME. This team is getting better.

by KCking on Nov 9, 2008 5:21 PM CST up reply actions

My theory

I think that in the first half, we come out and, frankly, surprise them. The O gets into a rhythm and our Defense is able to play hot.

When the 2nd half rolls around, their offense gets into a rhythmafter making adjustments. Thigpen can’t sustain himself while sitting on the sidelines.

Whatyathink?

well, that was unimpressive

but there’s plenty of game left. lets see what the D can do now. i’m a little worried, w/ all the youngsters, and SD has had 3 quarters to read and potentially make adjustments.

by thehulk on Nov 9, 2008 5:21 PM CST reply actions

A lot of our struggles in the second half

can probably be attributed to coaching, I would think.

The San Diego D has made adjustments and is now covering Tony G a lot more, while we haven’t seemed to hav figured that out yet.

It just kills me that Bones still doesn’t have a win. He’s played so well.

Ridiculous Upside: All the "Almost NBA" info you can handle!

I know.

And his detractors can keep pointing to the fact ‘he hasn’t won a game as a starter’.

But his winless record is infinitely better than Croyle’s winless record was last year, even though some of those games were decently close.

These games are a whole ’nother kind of close, though.

Higher draft position...

plus we played well…we need to get a full game…of offensive consistency…but…

HOLY HELL that Gonzalez catch was amazing….bounced off of him…off the defender…and then back into his arms…incredible

not that it mattered much in the end. but still.

by woodman212 on Nov 9, 2008 6:24 PM CST reply actions

hey we gave it our all.

a win would have been nice, but we showed people something. since thigpen we havn’t got killed. we need a lil bit better play calling second half though. and officiating was a joke. that 2pt conversion, dude was all over TG.

FUN TO WATCH

At least I have had a TON of FUN watching my team the last 3 weeks…..

by Dustin SLO,CA on Nov 9, 2008 6:27 PM CST reply actions

Exactly.

I’d rather have fun for three-and-a-half hours and lose as opposed to considering doing other things on Sunday afternoons.

+11111

more consistency, and less consHermative play-calling, and we’ll gt some wins

I love the way Thigpen plays the game.

It is still early but this looks like his team.

We better not hear one thing about Herm going for two there. It was the most sensible call given the teams condition.

1-7 team, rebuilding. Who cares? Let the boys have their fun.

A lot of people went down. Most of them looked minor (like a bunch of guys used to a college season getting knicked) and shouldn’t be a problem.

Did anyone else really enjoy this game? Everyone looked good. They at least are defining what needs to be improved. It’s not such madness anymore.

The team is slowly leaving the insane asylum.

I am making the trip from Florida for the game next week

I am looking forward to it more now than a few weeks back.

by cmpotter on Nov 9, 2008 6:30 PM CST reply actions

nope

i was hoping herm would go for 2, regardless if we made it or not. we gave it a shot. we played imo great granted the injuries that we had.
