Chiefs should take a shot at KGB
With our pathetic pass rush so far this year I think we should pick up Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila. He was a sack machine for the Packers for years, but has aged some. Even this year he still had some speed off the edge. I think we should at least give him a look. Granted his run stopping capabilities are non-existent, but at least we could put him in on passing downs. 73 74 75

Bad idea
KGB is over the hill and there is a reason Green Bay let him go. You just don’t cut your franchise sack leader for an extra roster spot. Even if he was on top of his game, I’d dislike the move because he’s obviously not a piece of our future and our D-Line (unlike our O-Line) needs all the continuity it can get. I believe in Dorsey, I believe in McBride, I believe in Hali, and I believe in Tyler too. But I do not believe in Macintosh, Jones, or even Niswanger.
If we signed KGB it would be to rent him for 8 more games? KGB has hit his ceiling where Hali is getting his groove back on the left side. I’ll say it again – signing KGB would be a BAD idea

Two trains of thought to consider
1) KGB could force better competition in practice to our current DE’s or may be better than what we have
2) Mark Bradley
"But what do I know, I’m like an empty room with a large ECHO"
I take it you're comparing one free agent to another?
If that’s the case you’re comparing apples to oranges. Bradley is young second round talent who hadn’t been given his chance and is a yet-to-be, whereas KGB is an old has-been who had his chance…..its just over. Say we hypothetically sign KGB and he steps up delivering us sacks and defensive pressure which could help us win games. As much as I’d enjoying watching that, I’m not so sure we need 1-2 more wins this season than we need lower draft picks for next. KGB could even probably be offered a 3 year contract but Hali could possibly be here for three times as longer. So what I’m really saying is I think its wiser to invest in our future than it is in band-aid’s for today

point taken
however, if we choose the draft position strategy, we can’t bitch anymore about losses this season, no matter how bad.

Always reserve the right to bitch
Those are my rights as a fan. ; ^ ) But we have increasingly less to bitch about now that we’re playing competitive football and more positives to highlight; like the signing of Mark Bradley for instance. I’m loving his impact and coincidentally we seem to be finding our offensive rythym with him in the lineup. I like the names Bowe & Bradley next to each other and hope to see them together in KC for a long time to come : ^ )

Agreed
KGB is an old guy who was cut because he’s done…Bradley is a young guy who was cut because Chicago grossly underestimated just how terrible of a QB Rex Grossman is. I don’t see a Bradley like show if we sign KGB, I just see an old guy taking reps from younger players.
Supporting the lesser of two evils is still supporting something evil.
