I'm not mad
For the past several weeks I haven't even logged onto Arrowhead Pride. I used to love this site and read everything on here because the people here maintained an upbeat optimistic view of the future.
But week after week of bloggers who constantly complain about this play call and that player's tackle and so on was too much for me to handle. If I want to hear about the Chief's being awful and pathetic I can go to a hundred different websites. I understand WE ARE awful and pathetic but this is what I expected this year!
The Kansas City Chiefs are a team. You win as a team and you lose as a team. We as Chiefs' fans are a team. Football is a sport that transcends race, religion, and economic status. We can disagree on what we should do as a team but we should always remember we love the Chiefs and we love the game. And if it makes you so mad that you insult and ridicule other fans then maybe it's time for you to take up bowling.
I want to end this by saying feel free to provide positive criticism (you know the kind that helps us improve as opposed to the kind that just makes the other person feel bad) If I want to go get ridiculed I might as well just go talk to a Raider's fan.
Sorry if this is too Oprah for you all but this is important to me.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Arrowhead Pride's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Arrowhead Pride writers or editors.

Thanks for posting this
I’ve done my best to come down hard on the insults I’ve read over the course of the last few weeks but I’m sure I’ve missed some.
I will be issuing warnings/bans on those who continue to use insults. We’ve gotten very big over the last six months and this is part of the growing pains.
Hope you stick around KCking.

What about penalty flags?

Right there with you KCKing
Even when we were horrible last year (without even having hope, we werent even rebuilding, we were just a bad team), there wasn’t the level of hating there is now.
Many people are just frustrated which is understandable. But my personal opinion is that there are others who are shortsighted and are having more fun pointing fingers and looking like they are right at that moment rather than actually being patient and watching the team develop.
Those of the rest of us that are willing to be patient and watch this team develop rather than expecting a team made up nearly 50% rookies to play like the 2007 Patriots are still here. But its tough to actually prove the naysayers wrong while the team is 1-7.
In the long run though, I am confident that the optimists will be vindicated and the naysayers will be the ones that look foolish (like the ones who continue to say there is no progress being made) for continuing to bash a team that is full of young, experienced, talented players that will be a force to be reckoned with in the AFC for the next decade.
Theres really nothing we can do right now to slam dunk prove the haters wrong. All we can do is say “See where we’re at in 2 years”.

You think last years
Bad play, and being 1-7 right now has anything to do with finger pointing to the one we feel is responsible. Look I have stopped withg the fire Herm bit, but I will still express my view as to what I feel the problem is from the weeks game. As you have the right to your rebuttal. I am a Chiefs fan through and through, and being the laughing stock of the NFL kills me.

Eric
I have always considered you to be in the frustrated fan category rather than the hater category.
You are obviously a very passionate person and if I’m right about you, when the Chiefs start winning you will be as happy as anybody. You have to know though, that even when the Chiefs start doing well, there are people that will still be nitpicking and looking for flaws. Every team has them. Hell, the 2007 Patriots had fans that found reasons to complain.

Yay....
I like groups that can give constructive criticisms about the team…not the constant cynicism of people with the “No…shutup…we are terrible…”
There are mistakes every week…we can still talk intelligently about the good things we see in the team…
I was close to giving up on this site too in just the past week… :(
But alas…it is in my blood

Well,
the way I see it is that all of us here now, who still love the team when were picking first in next years draft (sigh), will dance the biggest, scream the loudest, and have hearts filed with MORE joy when we go to the show next year. Or the one after that. Or however damn long it takes baybee!!!
KC ALL THE WAY!!!
I mean really, what are ya gonna do, be a Raiders fan!? Puh-leeeese!

Good post. Sometimes we look at the glass half empty and blame it on the glass because it is imperfect, the liquid because it hasn’t doubled, or the table because it is not tall enough.
