Defensive coordinator Perry Fewell was happy about that, but that was all he was smiling about after watching his defense give up 31 points and 462 yards to a Kansas City offense directed by someone named Tyler Thigpen that ranks only 28th in scoring and 25th in yards.
"I didn't think we played well," said Fewell. "We created turnovers last week (season-high five) but we didn't play well as a defense and I was disappointed in that. We didn't execute the basic fundamentals."
