The Rivalry Isn't Dead
For those of you that just don't get it, ask a real Chiefs fan. In all of the Land of Enniffel there is no entity as despised as the Raiders. Just speaking of their name I can taste bile in the back of my throat. I'd love to knock Al Dais down a flight of stairs. Just gimme the chance to slap the flat-top right off of Howie Long's enormous square head. I'd kick a baby if it was wearing Raiders gear this weekend. Throw the records out the window, it's Raider Week. When was the last time that phrase had any meaning to any of you? As far as that goes, when was the last time it meant anything to the people who make their living at One Arowhead Drive? It's Raider week and I'm filled with a vigorously renewed hatred.
I know I'm not alone in this hatred. It's more like a love affair with hatred. Hatred for all things silver and black. Real Chiefs fans unite with me in this hatred. Another loss to the Raiders will not be tolerated by the fans. I'm still pissed about losing the coin flip that gave the Raiders the fourth pick in the draft. Just say no to apathy. Stand with me at the top of the mountain and shout it out loud. I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore!!! If we can't unite to hate the Raiders, then who can we truly hate? It's time to MAN UP and send a message not only to our beloved team, but the coaching staff and front office as well. THIS IS THE REASON WE ALL BECAME CHIEFS FANS IN THE FIRST PLACE, TO DESPISE THE RAIDERS AND RELISH IN THEIR DEMISE!!!
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Arrowhead Pride's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Arrowhead Pride writers or editors.

Wow...
Well… I didn’t become a Chiefs fan just to hate the Raiders… Though hating the Raiders DOES make being a Chiefs fan that much better, but I became a Chiefs fan because that’s how I was raised.
People don’t just wake up in the morning and decide to root for the Chiefs. It’s an inheritance. And along with that inheritance comes the hatred for our rivals.
Some people don’t understand what it means. But you’ll likely find that people who are into football (or sports in general) know what it means to play a rival. You have
the Lakers vs.the Celtics
the Yankees vs. the Red Sox
the Cowboys vs. the Redskins
the Colts vs. the Patriots
L.A. vs. N.Y.
Bloods vs. Crips
Tan toy soilders vs. Green toy soilders
This is CHIEFS vs. RAIDERS!
This is a rivalry.
GREAT POST
Now THIS is what I’m talkin’ about!! THIS is what Chiefs football is about! The raising up from the field of play after suffering abuse and beatings, to vanquishing the dreaded and evil Raiders (or Broncos, or Chargers), but mostly the Raiders!
Years ago the Chiefs vs Raiders game was the main game of the week because of the ferocity and the true spirit of sport. Both teams hated each other so much, that they literally fought and bled on the field to win. Those were the days!
I’m not normally a hater, but a couple times a year, I’m proud to make an exception when we match up. Let’s go Chiefs, time to buckle up, strap it on, and kick some Raider ass.
Land of Enniffel
I don’t think I’ve been there…
+1 for the knocking Al Davis down and baby kicking comments

Every team that I am a fan of today is because of what I was raised watching and going to.
I go through crap all the time for being a Royals fan and now since the Chiefs are so bad I go through that same crap. I always respond the same, “I am a Fan”
Indecision is the key to flexibility
Amen
Even though I may of been raised in this miserable state called Utah, my dad is from Missouri, and I grew up loving the Chiefs and Royals…. too bad everyone back here loves the Raiders and Broncos, makes me cringe every time I see those black and silver or orange and blue logos on everything
