CHIEFS BAR AND GRILL IN KC AREA
Do you all know of a good family friendly Chiefs sports bar and grill in the KC area? I am in the U S Coast Guard and currently stationed in Northern Michigan. But I will be driving through Kansas City with my wife and kids on Sunday and would love to watch the game with some other KC Chiefs Fans.
Thank You,
Devin

When I was in KC
I hung around the Plaza area mostly. 810 Sports Zone is a good sports bar down there.

Nick & Jake's
has fantastic food you won’t find at most sports bars (meatloaf, pot roast, chicken pot pie, as well as the usual steaks, ribs, burgers, sandwiches).
Of course I am biased, since if I drink too much ‘cause we’re losing, I can always walk home =)

Umm, Arrowhead?
There’s this place where loads of Chiefs fans used to hang out on game days but it’s pretty quiet these days so a good family atmosphere, they serve beer and hot dogs and stuff plus there are loads of seats with a good view of the game and while there is a cover charge you can get in for virtually nothing these days. There’s loads of parking too.
Blame my wife!

Since you have kids...there's an easier answer
Go to the Sportsbar at Ameristar Casino. Basically you can drop your kids off in the Kid Zone to get baby-sitted (I think they’ll take kids as young as 1, but check). Walk down to the sportsbar and have a relaxing and fun time for a few hours drinking some micro-brews and watching all the games. Yes, all th games are shown. During the Chiefs game they give free stuff away by raffling things off.

I like what you have listed as your three prognostications. (now that was a $30.00 word)

Sports bars...
I like the Lew’s at 75th and Wornall. Its smoke free, the food is above average as far as bar food is concerned, and the owner is friendly and accommodating. Not sleazy at all, which is usually what I go for.
