3 Game QB Comparison
I was curious to see how Tyler Thigpen stacked up against the other QBs in the league over the past few weeks. I took all of the QBs that have started their last 3 games and did some number crunching. The results were even better than I had hoped.

When Bones plays a game like yesterday's and virtually nobody is awestruck for the following 24 hours, we can safely say he's the guy. Next week, we're playing another team with a struggling secondary so we should see another solid performance from our 3rd stringer from CC.

Next question
Just out of curiosity how much does Ben Roethlisberger get paid compared to Tyler Thigpen?

Excellent work by the way
I think the best stat on there is 0 INTs, 0 fumbles…man, no turnovers goes a long, long way.

Especially when
Your defense has forced 8 turnovers in 3 games.
Now if we could only find a way to put together at least one successful scoring drive in the 3rd quarter we might turn that +8 into a win Numero Dos.

Man...
we don’t turn the ball over, we take the ball away and yet we have lost every game.

A Note About Small Sample Size Comparisons
They’re an extremely dodgy proposition, especially in a quarterback’s first year as a starter, because they don’t take into account the adjustments other teams will eventually make for that QB. Derek Anderson is a case in point for this…he had about a dominant month for the Browns last year, the other teams adjusted once they got film on him, then he went into a slump from which he never really recovered (because he couldn’t adjust to their adjustments). Tony Romo struggled in his first game and a half after replacing Bledsoe, got hot for the first month, went into a slump when teams adjusted to him, then came out of it and played like a superstar.
What I’m saying is that the first few games are not necessarily indicative of a QB’s skill because other teams are being caught off-guard by him. What will be the indicator is how he plays after the teams make their initial adjustments. Will he turn into a star like Romo (by playing at his current level of performance)? Will he fade like Anderson did? Or is the truth somewhere in the middle? We probably won’t know the answer to that until about midway through next season, mainly because we’re looking at too small a slice of his career right now.
Supporting the lesser of two evils is still supporting something evil.

Reality sucks...don't it?
No, that’s not a question. But UC nailed it. This is why I’m not on anyones bandwagon this year (individually). I’ll watch the team and hope for the best and expect the worst.
Anyone remember Lin Elliott and Elvis Grbac? Anyone, anyone….yeah I supported them…that was me. BOY oh BOY was I wrong.
However, I still liked watching “the pickle” play (get your mind out of the gutter AJ)…I’m talking about Vlasic.
Just keep matriculating the ball down the field boys.
