"Good thing is we’ve got two weeks before we play another game and we’re going to have to figure some things out defensively, especially against the run, and offensively how to make a first down. It’s puzzling to me. You play one week and then you play the next week like this - same players, same coaches. We’ve got to figure it out during the bye week."

Give me at least a day
At least one day, before you start throwing the silver lining line out there.

WHAT?
Herm, you played against two different teams. It doesn’t just work the same against everyone. When you look at Carolina you see a smart, fast, blitz happy defense and you therefore must adjust and run draw plays, quick slants, etc. Against Denver, a terrible defense, you can call plays that they know are coming and still have them work because their defense is so bad. This guy is seriously inept.

Most Telling Comment
"I don’t think anybody – our staff and I know I didn’t – saw that coming given the way we played last week (vs. Denver)."
Translation: we were so busy patting ourselves on the back for beating a bad Denver team that we didn’t prepare for a much better Carolina team.
Herm is a pathetic coach.

Also
In a very short press conference Herm made five references to how good the Chiefs looked against Denver. Hate to break it to you Herm, but nobody gives a shit about Denver anymore. The game this week was against Carolina and the Chiefs looked like they were shocked that Denver didn’t show up again.

You are right on
This is the problem with the guy. I understand the glass is always half full but give me a break. WE ARENT TALKING ABOUT DENVER. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT HOW WE SUCK.
12 men on the field? Coaching error. Not going for it on 4th and 1 when down 14-0? Coaching error.

Trying to run
against Carolina would have been a waste of time. No other team has been able to do it w/ any real success and they actually have an O-line that can block. No, our only chance at breaking through that concrete front line would have been w/ a Pick Axe.
And correct me if I’m wrong – but Herm isn’t the Line coach and he didn’t pick the players that competed for those spots (not that I’m a Herm fan – I’m just saying is all).

You're Correct, But
Herm is responsible for writing in the starting lineups and he’s the one who keeps trotting Sackintosh out there because of his “run-blocking”. It’s not Herm’s job to train the line. But it is Herm’s job to field the best linemen available. And if McIntosh’s only potential upside is his run-blocking and he can’t open any holes with McIntosh in the lineup, then McIntosh needs to get benched…and that’s entirely on Herm if he isn’t.

Well it was nice he found
some good. We are off for two weeks…..YAY! If there is anything for them to figure out, it is how to get this team back because he has lost them.

Bye week, so we probably
won’t be outscored, outplayed, and outcoached this week. Two weeks from now, we will be two weeks closer to Herm’s eventual departure from the team whenever that may be. Sunday’s game was the most miserable excuse for a football game I have ever had the misfortune to witness. I am speechless.

Herm capable at
picking the talent of defensive backs…because of his background of former DBs himself…he don’t know nothing about offense….bring back Al
Saunders

He's Probably Staying In St. Louis
So Saunders is not an option.

Nothing changes until...
Everything we have talked about doesn’t change until Herm leaves. He is trying so hard to prove to the NFL that his philosophy is right…no matter how many "L’s" it takes! In the end, he gets paid, the Chief organization is still profitable (low team salary, still high attendance), we end up drinking heavily on game day to ease the pain.
At least the beer is as cold as the team!
