1,2,3,4 in 2009
I know professional athletes don't like to say it. Coaches either. But you can not tell me that some fraggle nackgle bull that's going on. The chiefs are trying, let me repeat trying to lose. Every one know in the NFL, to excell you gotta do 1 of 2 things. You gotta suck, to build young!..... and then you gotta suck more the year after. This is going to be a 3 to 4 year transition. We proved in the draft this year we got some nice pieces. (Now it is time to play only 2 quarters or less, per game. That's the eaiser way to throw a game, without saying (we are trying to lose). To enhance our draft status. In 2009 pick #1 must, i repeat must be a QB ( We got 3 and half of them and they are not cutting it ) My suggest would Chase Daniels.... (keep him state side) He reminds me of Doug Flutie...a leader....... just what this team needs. Pick #2 if it aint a RT...... I'm jump of the cliff........ LT is solid, Albert has shown he can get the job done. So what do team do against us. Blow up the Right side........ I believe those two picks, would be greatly appreciated by chiefs nation. Pick, to get them, you must trade, to trade you must have bait, LJ is our bait. Check this out. Do him, just like Jared Allen, get them picks. Have a good draft.... Don't fire herm yet, we need him for this next draft.... then in year 2010. give him the boot.

Silliness...
…There is no blowing of games going on…and Chase Daniel will be lucky to be a 3rd round pick…

Agreed
Taking Chase Daniel with a top 5 pick would be one of the biggest draft day blunders.
I see him going in the later rounds, but I’m with you in theory Jclawd. We can’t and won’t go into 2009 with the same group of QBs. Either someone will be drafted (hopefully not in the first round b/c I don’t see any of the QBs being worthy of a top 5 pick), or someone will be picked up via free agency or (my preference) picking up a 2nd-3rd round QB along with a stop-gap veteran.

Name a college QB
That isn’t a system QB. Everyone of them is a system QB. Look at the Big 12. KU,OU,TT,UT,OSU, & yes MU are all system QB’s. The top statistical QB’s are system QB’s. I suppose you are like everyone else that is in love with Teabow who…… is a product of a system. The whole system qb argument is overblown. Do you take Daniel top 5? No, there isn’t a quarterback cooming into this draft worth a top 5 pick. He will however, be a first day pick guaranteed.

I wanna bring caution to one player
We have mostly all seen and lauded the accomplishments of Herb Taylor and for good reason. If he isn’t able to crack the starting lineup for good at any position, not exactly his fault, he may be seen by other teams as a possible starter to take a chance on in free agency when his contract is up.
We could very well lose him because of the current coaches not willing to give him his due. Then we will definitely be looking for more O linemen.

Sam Bradford
would be the only quarterback taken in the first that I wouldn’t lose sleep over. I would lose sleep over Daniels and or Tebow (especially Tebow because he would be a high draft pick). Do you guys think Bradford will declare? He is in his red shirt sophomore year so he is basically a junior. The CBA contract is up after the 2009 season so maybe it will trigger a lot of players to come out early.
