Poll: Testing the Waters
I like to see where we're at as the season goes along. After last week's hope-providing win and this week's soul-crushing loss, now is a good time to do that again.
Today's poll concerns what you think needs to happen right now. It's good for us to know how we feel. For instance, if the minority of us don't feel Herm needs to be fired right now, maybe we should stop saying it every fourteen seconds. Same with the quarterback, and blaming the players instead of the coaches.
So how do you feel? Vote, you people! Vote!

Blame the players
All you want, it is the coaching staffs job to prepare these guys. They have proved they cannot do it.

I chose the last option
Because RIGHT NOW none of the other options would help or they’re not feasible.
No QB can be signed at this point.
Firing Herm and Carl wouldn’t help us RIGHT NOW.
I don’t think it’s a matter of heart, maybe discipline, though.
I’m just a fan…I don’t know what game plan they were trying to execute.
Dorsey is a rookie…least of our worries.
Which leaves the last option…

Huard
This game was exactly like the 2007 loss to the Broncos at Arrowhead….
Huard looks competent one week, then suddenly feels the pressure on his shoulders the next week and collapses.
Gun is a good DC, but not a good DC when he is forced to run the Tampa 2. Gun is a Man2Man, Blitz DC. This zone shit is killing him and us.
Chan is a good OC, but cannot be a good OC when he has to call Herm ball.
DOES ANYONE REMEMBER WHY THE NY MEDIA HAD TO ASK IF HERM WAS TRYING TO WIN THE GAME?

Yep
Huard has a knack for coming in and playing well when the starter goes down and there are no expectations.

Huard
I don’t think its the pressure getting to Huard. I think we kind of forgot how bad he was looking after a couple games last year. The guy has ridden the bench for 12 years, plus he’s 38 years old. He’s not used to taking a beating in an NFL game. I think that’s why he does so well coming on in relief when a guy goes down, but goes down hill after he starts a couple games. I think the abuse he is taking, especially with our horrible offensive line takes its toll on him and maybe is body just can’t take it anymore.
I heard all week after the Denver game he was having a hard time recovering and Rich Gannon mentioned when they interviewed him the night before that he just seemed to have no energy.
As for your comments about Gun and Chan DThomas, they have been playing a lot more man to man this year since we have CBs that are capable of doing it, so that’s no excuse. The passing game isn’t really the problem anyway, its the run game. Chan Gailey is a good OC, and has ALWAYS played Herm Ball even when Herm wasn’t a coach. Gailey is an extremely conservative OC and always has been.

Exactly. Same Herm shit, different city. He actually had to scream that he was trying to win
Nuff said. The NY media called Herm out on this shit, and Herm blew up at the media with his famous rant.
Herm actually had to defend himself regarding whether or not he was even trying to win the game.
Sound familiar?
