We need a big day from our defense
Let’s capitalize on their backup tackles starting today
2-3 here we come……………….GOOOO CHIEFS!

Who knows with this team.
Last week I figured blowout, I was wrong. If we play with the same consistency as last week we have a chance.
Hey did you
Drag that dude out of that cave yet? Wasssuupp Chris!
I'm finally
staying up late enough here to watch the game. It’s only 10:11 PM here but I’ve been beat every day.

Quick internet radio question
Is it working for anyone else? Mine says unavailable and I’m not sure if that’s because the game hasn’t started yet.
Working on it now
I was using Google Chrome but switched to Windows on my Mac to try it out.

Bought some Fosters beer

And He Let Another Guy Through On The Next Play
He doubles on the tackle on the inside and lets a DE run through for a one-on-one matchup against Charles (resulting in a swatted pass).
If Herm starts McIntosh again once Albert returns Herm deserves to be fired. Seriously, it’s an indefensible move as long as Taylor and Albert are healthy.

honestly, we're going to need a turnover
even if we force the punt, we’re going to be pinned back, and we saw how well that worked on our first drive. Need to chance field position.

Hey howdy y'all
Just checking in. A bit delayed due to technical issues which my lovely husband detailed above, but I’m here and ready to make up for the last two Sundays where I’ve been traveling and forced to miss the games (despite threats thrown at airport bartenders…they don’t like that, I found out).
Anyway! GO CHIEFS!

Nice TD Run
It would be nicer if it were the Chiefs making it.
Supporting the lesser of two evils is still supporting something evil.
I run an 8.4 40
and I honestly think I could’ve score there
i think i'm going to be saying this a fair amount the rest of the season:
“well, at least we get to see savage on the return now”
reverting to pre-denver form
i agree with what someone said earlier; our first drive is so important for us, having broken a big play last time within the first two plays made denver have to remain cautious of the run. all we did on our first drive was get a false start, a broken run, a used timeout, and a broken pass.
I knew I was too polite to the Carolina fans last weekend...
…when I was stuck in the Charlotte airport and we all spoke jovially about this week’s contest.
Of course, the Chiefs were beating up on the Broncos then…
Bah. Now we get pouty.
Nice!

well, here's a recipe for success:
go three and out, get down by a couple scores, take larry out of the game, and win it with our stud QB and even studder OL.

by Chris Thorman on Oct 5, 2008 1:17 PM CDT up reply actions
Well, at least I started DBowe over Andre Johnson
Of course Johnson starts playing for the first time this year.
its so hard to see the positive right now
aside from DJ, we haven’t had a single player play remotely well in the first half. the only good point at all was a forced fumble/recovery. if we don’t see some serious halftime improvements, you really have to question the ability of this coaching staff (if we weren’t already)
i like how on that TD run,
page gets stiff-armed and gives up on trying to tackle him, and then gets freakin nailed by muhammed throwing a block right at the end zone. serves him right.
What did I miss?
I was just talking to my sister on the phone. She just went to her first football game. When I say football I meant he other real football. Liverpool v Manchester City. Liverpool won 3-2 apparently.

by Chris Thorman on Oct 5, 2008 1:21 PM CDT up reply actions
Kind of a simplified cop out of an answer.
The O-Line, especially McIntosh, is getting run over. And the D-Line which was supposed to be so good at stopping the run is getting GASHED.
Yes, Herm is a conservative coach. But that is such an easy answer for a team with so many… bad players.
Banny being Banny.
also doesn't help that three of our VERY finite number of pass plays
were batted-down. theoretically, that could have gotten us a little more yardage…maybe even the semblance of a drive.
Hey the Dolphins are playing awesome football this year
that could be us next year

did a COACHING STAFF GM overhaul. As well as a few player additions.

Should we keep him in if we continue to struggle and not move the ball, although I don’t think Thigpen would b e an improvement, even if huard continues to play so bad.

gotta love LJ stutter-stepping at the line

i'd rather see thigpen flail around out there than huard.
we know this game is a goner, why not let the young guy see if he can validate being on the roster. he’s only been in one game, and i don’t think he played any worse than huard has played so far this game.
I disagree
Thigpen is so incapable that he harms EVERY play. Sure, Huard is sucking it up now but he’s better than Thigpen.

If it is not coaching
How do you correct this shit?
It's talent
Look across the parking lot for another example of what happens with lack of talent
Yeah but that talent
Has to have competent coaches to develop them.
I wonder if there will be some good seats...
…available in the season ticket pool at arrowhead
I live 200 miles away though....
This makes it kinda hard to justify the drive. I can go watch the flag football here in town and see a more enjoyable game.
Dammit
I was doing an image for “chiefs touchdown” and google says:
Did you mean “Chiefs shutout”?
Blame my wife!
New thread is up
Not sure about anyone else but everything is slowing down with me because of the nearly 700 comments. Just refresh the home page, see ya on the other side
Thigpen is in
thigpen is in we’re getting a touchdown.
Thigpen's In
Who would have figured that a blowout like this could actually get worse? Oh well…might as well let Thigpen get the crap kicked out of him for awhile. Huard’s taken enough of a beating today.
I can’t wait to hear Herm’s excuses after this one.
Supporting the lesser of two evils is still supporting something evil.
FUCKING THIGPEN!
Is Ingle Martin retarded? Does he have ADD and incapable of learning the offense or something? I would rather see Huard throw 8 INT’s on the day than see Thigpen throw a single pass!

It's REALLY
