25-24 Panthers in a surprisingly close game!

Fox gives Herm a hug postgame for keeping it so close.

by TheQ on Oct 5, 2008 11:22 AM CDT reply actions

Who knows with this team.

Last week I figured blowout, I was wrong. If we play with the same consistency as last week we have a chance.

About to listen to the game from inside a mosquito net!

I'm finally

staying up late enough here to watch the game. It’s only 10:11 PM here but I’ve been beat every day.

by Chris Thorman on Oct 5, 2008 11:43 AM CDT up reply actions

Quick internet radio question

Is it working for anyone else? Mine says unavailable and I’m not sure if that’s because the game hasn’t started yet.

by Chris Thorman on Oct 5, 2008 11:51 AM CDT reply actions

Yes!

It’s coming through!!!!

GOOOOO CHIEFS!!!!

by Chris Thorman on Oct 5, 2008 11:57 AM CDT reply actions

5 diff. captains. Huard, McGraw, Waters, Surtain, and someone else I didn’t hear.

We…lost.

101thefox problem

I Defy Anyone To Say McIntosh Starting Over Taylor When Albert Gets Back Is A Good Idea

Go ahead and try to make that argument…I need a good laugh today.

he is just too slow

there’s no reason he should still be out there for us

by thehulk on Oct 5, 2008 12:16 PM CDT up reply actions

And He Let Another Guy Through On The Next Play

He doubles on the tackle on the inside and lets a DE run through for a one-on-one matchup against Charles (resulting in a swatted pass).

If Herm starts McIntosh again once Albert returns Herm deserves to be fired. Seriously, it’s an indefensible move as long as Taylor and Albert are healthy.

Supporting the lesser of two evils is still supporting something evil.

negative yards on offense, plus great field position

lets see if our D can stay tough, it would be awesome if they could keep carolina from scoring

by thehulk on Oct 5, 2008 12:18 PM CDT reply actions

honestly, we're going to need a turnover

even if we force the punt, we’re going to be pinned back, and we saw how well that worked on our first drive. Need to chance field position.

Hey howdy y'all

Just checking in. A bit delayed due to technical issues which my lovely husband detailed above, but I’m here and ready to make up for the last two Sundays where I’ve been traveling and forced to miss the games (despite threats thrown at airport bartenders…they don’t like that, I found out).

Anyway! GO CHIEFS!

by ashleylat on Oct 5, 2008 12:25 PM CDT up reply actions

reverting to pre-denver form

i agree with what someone said earlier; our first drive is so important for us, having broken a big play last time within the first two plays made denver have to remain cautious of the run. all we did on our first drive was get a false start, a broken run, a used timeout, and a broken pass.

its so hard to see the positive right now

aside from DJ, we haven’t had a single player play remotely well in the first half. the only good point at all was a forced fumble/recovery. if we don’t see some serious halftime improvements, you really have to question the ability of this coaching staff (if we weren’t already)

by fujirio on Oct 5, 2008 1:24 PM CDT reply actions

Kind of a simplified cop out of an answer.

The O-Line, especially McIntosh, is getting run over. And the D-Line which was supposed to be so good at stopping the run is getting GASHED.

Yes, Herm is a conservative coach. But that is such an easy answer for a team with so many… bad players.

Banny being Banny.

also doesn't help that three of our VERY finite number of pass plays

we know this game is a goner, why not let the young guy see if he can validate being on the roster. he’s only been in one game, and i don’t think he played any worse than huard has played so far this game.

Thigpen is so incapable that he harms EVERY play. Sure, Huard is sucking it up now but he’s better than Thigpen.
