Around SBN: Jeremy Lin And How The Pac-12 Missed Him

Carolina Offensive line

Jordan Gross LT for Carolina is out for the game against the Chiefs, and Jeff Otah is ruled doubtful. This means our ends need to get alot of pressure and if they don't than some change needs to happen. we need to blitz and get to Delhomme and make him force plays, and i could see us winning this.....Im not saying we will but this could be a better game than most people think it will be.

Do we even blitz anymore? The first game I saw a few, but it seems like all the linebackers do is drop in coverage. They need to send Williams off the edge more.

Good points IATG

Basically…we gotta win the ground game. Nothing else to it.

Herb Taylor

did a pretty good job of subbing in for Brandon Albert last week. Which leads to…..what do we really know about their back-up ??

I love the idea of getting pressure on Dellhomme – who wouldn’t right ?? How best to accomplish that w/o sacrificing run defenSe is what concerns me. So if we do Blitz – who do we bring ?? How does that leave us exposed in the backfield ?? Apart from last week, which was better, when a running back has gotten past the ‘D’ line our downfield tackling (LB, DB) has been shaky. Okay that’s enough of the paranoid me !!!

I will add this…..when we do Blitz, I have every confidence that secondary ‘et al’ (Carr & Flowers) can handle the man coverage. That’s a group that has consistently shown game to game improvement.

One more thing…. Frank Omiyale is the reserve LT according to their Depth Chart – sorry who ?? Hey, maybe we can bring some heat this weekend w/o blitzing (again).
