This is my first ever game thread as well

I’m usually at a tailgate with friends, and my girlfriend is out of town. I’m pumped.

I'm about to head to the bar

to watch the game. It’s a lot of fun if you get into it.

Wow

“For Johnson, a league suspension could be costly: Schefter reports that if Johnson is suspended, the Chiefs could decline to pay $5.5 million worth of bonuses that were referred to as "guaranteed" when he signed his contract but that haven’t yet been paid.”

Very interesting.

Can someone fill me

in on why Jeff Webb doesn’t start anymore? Or play?

I haven’t heard much about him.

by Chris Thorman on Oct 26, 2008 11:15 AM CDT reply actions

Wikipedia gets it wrong
Jeff Webb has seen sparing action with the Kansas City Chiefs, though with the release of wide receiver Eddie Kennison, Webb will get much more playing time and at some point in the 2008 NFL season could start along with second-year player Dwayne Bowe.

by Joel Thorman on Oct 26, 2008 11:16 AM CDT up reply actions

I was checking out ESPN's NFL videos online

And literally 7 of them dealt with Brady’s injured knee.

And four of them were about Favre.

Just as you wrote

I gotta say,

by Vince D on Oct 26, 2008 1:33 PM CDT reply actions

the Chiefs have a passing game. If LJ is back next week, they can do so much more with Thiggy slinging the rock today.

Yeah!

He really helped to set up that late last score.

by ilamuku on Oct 26, 2008 1:36 PM CDT reply actions

Did they really throw a pass to Ingle Martin?

Or does the NFL game center just have it wrong. Only games on down here in TX is Dallas and the London game so trying to keep up with it through here and NFL website.

by ilamuku on Oct 26, 2008 1:44 PM CDT up reply actions

THIGPEN!!

OFFENSE:
play calling – good
play call EXECUTION – impressive

DEFENSE: run D needs to be stronger at the line and our backers have to fucking take trigonometry again to learn angles or understand their speeds better….

rEgardless, great game so far, hopefully the 2nd half is as fun as the first

That scares me

There’s still too much shit on this team that I don’t want them to pat themselves on their backs too much. Still, damn good performance from Thiggy. I walked in in the 2nd quarter and thought 11/11 was a mistake.

Holy Crap.

This is like the anti-UCrawford game. The secondary playing well that he bashed as overrated, and the worst quarterback in the history of everything winning.

Ladies and gentlemen, are we seeing a shift? Has the tide turned?

No absolutely

we’re still a terrible team. But I’m just so happy for our secondary and Tyler. I mean, seriously, think back about what people were saying about this kid this week.
