Around SBN: Knicks 90, Raptors 87: "Shump and Lin wouldn't let us lose."

Punter Dustin Colquitt, from the kicking Colquitt family, was downgraded to out by Kansas City on Saturday, and will be replaced by former New Orlean's punter Steve Weatherford.

Also, Jets backup linebacker Cody Spencer was added to the Jets injury report due to an illness, and he is questionable.

well, just add this to the litany:

1. Our number 1 and 2 qbs are out
2. Our number 1 (at least on the depth chart) rb is out
3. Our All-World te wanted to be traded before last week
and, now, our MVP for the last 2 seasons is out.

Not having Colquitt just might be the straw that breaks the camels back.

HOWEVER, I just had a flash of inspiration. What if, through Divine Intervention, Herm realizes that with our best offensive weapon – Colquitt, in case anyone is unsure – out, he has to revise the R2P2 play calling. He realizes he’s way out of his league. He unleashes Gailey. And we actually see, I dunno, the occasional bootleg, play-action pass, who knows, maybe even another direct snap or some other trick play.

Or maybe I’m just stupidly delusional. Maybe, instead, Herm will call for the R3P1 formula, where The Notorious Th-I-G pretends to go back for a pass on third down, but then just runs around in the backfield until he’s sacked.

Yea, that’s probably more likely…

I just want to see some touchdowns

Two, actually. That’s how low my definition of success has been set.

me, i'm looking for big plays on offense

and i define those as “more than 20 yards”. i definitely think The Notorious will throw the ball downfield a couple times, we’ll see what happens there. and, if we can stay in this game for a bit, i want to see either a big run by charles, or a reverse that goes for some yards. if I don’t see a draw play all game, i’ll be happy as well.

And yea, a couple TDs would be awfully nice. I wonder if we’ll see any before garbage time.
GO Chefs!
