Carolina Panthers Offensive Directional Play Report

Check out where the Panthers tend to run the ball.  The directional report on their passing game is on the other side.

Good news for the Chiefs judging by these numbers.  First, Glenn Dorsey will get a healthy test of his run defense progress in the league.  Second, the right side of the Panthers line could be advantageous for us if Jeff Otah doesn't play.

Keep these numbers in mind during the game on Sunday to determine if our defense makes them deter from what past history says they'll do.

If you guys would be interested in it, I’ll put something similar together but with the Panthers run defense and pass defense so we can compare that to our offensive directional play report.

Drop me a line if you have any other stat ideas. Someone mentioned taking the aggregate data and compare it to single game data so that we can see the variance and how that reflected our success. I’m still working on this – so whoever asked just give me some time and I will figure something out.

Where did you get these stats?

Did you compile these yourself or did you get them from another site? I’ve been looking for this but haven’t found it.

The Panthers do target the A gaps a lot but...

DeAngelo Williams loves to cut back if there isn’t an opening or if the o-line is pushing in a certain direction. I love this data though. If both tackles are out running the ball will be tougher fo’ sho’.

I blog the Carolina Panthers at www.catscratchreader.com

Great Stats PT !!

Good visuals- the bar graph(ics) assist in making the numbers that much easier to comprehend.
