When Brodie Croyle returned to practice weeks ago, he immediately took notice of the new wide receiver setting himself apart from the pack.

Mark Bradley is fast and making big catches down the field in practice, two items in short supply from the other candidates vying to be Dwayne Bowe’s receiving partner.

"He’s got good speed and runs really good routes," Croyle said. "He’s had pretty good hands so far. It’s kind of tough to see why Chicago got rid of him. We’re all kind of scratching our heads wondering why you’d get rid of a guy like that."

Be even more awesome

If our QB had time for them to get downfield, that rught side screws that up.

I think we should give Richardson and Taylor the right side.

If it’s just gonna be an average line, we might as well let the young guys get experience.

I'm Curious To See What Bradley's Got

Hopefully we’ll have another Bernard Berrian on our hands. He’s been doing really well in Minnesota since they got rid of Tarvaris as the starter. Chicago was death on receivers while Grossman was the QB.

Will Franklin

Franklin had a respectable preseason it is was said he had a good camp all together until he got hurt. I haven’t seen him really play much since he returned i wonder how they are going to find out about this kid until they throw him some balls and see what he can do.

So Did Tyler Thigpen

The preseason doesn’t mean anything in terms of the regular season. Although his absence in the regular season has been mainly due to injury…not performance.

He Looked Capable Of Running An Offense

That’s why he got a shot in the regular season. But then we all saw that he really wasn’t capable of running an offense. I think a lot of times we (and I mean all of us) tend to overrate the preseason because there’s really nothing else going on at that time so we talk about it a lot. And then every year we find out that it really means nothing. I wish the NFL would just tag on a couple more regular season games and lop off a couple of preseason games.

As for Franklin, he seems to have some ability but I wouldn’t expect much out of him this season. Rookie receivers are very rarely good…they usually take three years to develop. If he can stay healthy, though, and works hard he might very well have a future in this league…he seems to have the tools to do well.

No more regular season games

I agree there seems to be too many games in the preseason. But, for the most part, the preseason games aren’t about the veterans; they are try-outs for the rookies to make the team. It’s also necessary to get the veterans some game time, just look at Peyton Manning at the beginning of the season…rusty. And I don’t think the players would want more regular season games. 16 games is a lot of wear and tear on the body. Plus, if your team is actually good the season can be 20 games long anyway. That’s simply too much punishment, making careers shorter, which reduces the money players will make. The players’ union would fight the idea tooth-and-nail.
