A league source told ESPN's Michael Smith that the discipline was in response to a pattern of behavior by Johnson, who is considered to be a high-maintenance headache by some in the organization. Most recently, according to the source, he missed a team meeting during the Chiefs' bye week.

I've always liked LJ
And am willing to put up with a little attitude for a great player. But with a team as young as we are I am VERY happy to see the Chiefs make the statment that no matter who you are or how important you are / think you are, if you’re not behaving like a professional you’re going to sit.
Attitude
Even when the attitude results in penalties inside the red zone? Even when it’s clearly a distraction at the exact time we don’t need it? Even when it’s clear he’s not committed to us in any fashion?
And on top of it he’s got a history of assaulting women that keeps getting longer.
Herm should have suspended him and we need to get rid of this jackass. Now.
In my opinion.
Yards are nice. Integrity’s better.
