Around SBN: Leandro Damiao Is Still Really Good

Larry Johnson will be inactive for Sunday's game against Tennessee at Arrowhead Stadium.

More details will follow.

LJ won't play Sunday | Red Zone

Local radio is telling listeners LJ has been suspended. Stay tuned.

UPDATE: From the head coach himself: "Larry Johnson is not suspended for if you know suspension he can’t be at the facility and he can’t practice. Larry practiced yesterday, he practiced today."

Well...

… this just screws my Fantasy team!

How am I going to live without his 22 yards on 15 carries and 1 fumble???

Ugh.

Classic :)

Hey wait…this means that my Tennessee defense just got a major bump!!! I wonder if they could score 50 points this week?

Payed to sit

Does LJ still get payed…let me check…a billion dollars for this weekend’s game? If so, does a suspension matter? It’s not like he was playing all that hard before. Now he doesn’t even have to go through the motions.

I think they hurried on the suspension a little so that Kolby can get demolished by the Titans, thus avoiding any sort of RB controversy like we saw after the Raiders game last year. And this is another storm cloud rolling in over Brodie’s return this weekend. If the Titans’ D doesn’t have to worry about any facet of our O, they can just focus on pounding Brodie into submission. I predict he lasts…let’s be optimistic here…three series upright.

I Think

Suspended means he’s not getting paid (or gets docked his game salary).

All sarcasm aside, I think it was the right move by the Chiefs. LJ’s bitching was a problem, his off-field habits are a distraction, and it’s way past time they told him it’s time to straighten up and fly right.

BTW Read this

terrible move by Carl. I understand TG deserves a 2nd round pick but you dont agree and then change your demands. Thats bad negotiating.

Herm Edwards is a retard.

For What It's worth

Kevin Keitzman on 810 says the suspension has nothing to do with the night club thing. It’s something else but he won’t say what LJ has done.

Now That's Interesting

They could suspend him for “conduct detrimental to the team” (which is sort of a catch-all) but there’d have to be more to it than griping about carries I think. Wonder what’s up?

Wouldn't it be funny...

….if he was pissed at Herm and Carl for not trading him and ended up making some kind of threat? Can you see that happenning?

by THE_TRUTH on Oct 16, 2008 2:47 PM CDT reply actions

Maybe

he b*tched out Carl and Herm for TG because Tony is too classy to do that type of thing. Or maybe he b*tch slapped Herm in a club last night.

810 says it is a new incident an no one is able to speak about it even though they know what it is.

They went on to say he is lucky to not be suspended 4 games or more, and that the incident (whatever it was) is incredibly embarrassing to LJ.

It'll Get Out Eventually

It always does.

Our young backs

Are better pass blockers, and play with more heart. Like to see Dantrell get some work also.
