Larry Johnson will be inactive for Sunday's game against Tennessee at Arrowhead Stadium.
More details will follow.
LJ won't play Sunday | Red Zone
Local radio is telling listeners LJ has been suspended. Stay tuned.
UPDATE: From the head coach himself: "Larry Johnson is not suspended for if you know suspension he can’t be at the facility and he can’t practice. Larry practiced yesterday, he practiced today."

Haha
I don’t think LJ should be suspended until he’s found guilty. His people are denying what happened so I would think the courts can decide and then punish

I think it’s also about his rotten attitude.

Haha
I have that same attitude about this team. Good thing I’m not a Chief. Then again, if I was making a few mill a year I’d keep my attitude how the boss wanted it.

If I Was Making LJ's Salary
I’d probably find it in me to bust my ass at pass-blocking.

Larry Johnson Deactivated for Titans Game, Not Suspended
Oct 16, 2008, 2:24:10 PM
Running back Larry Johnson will not be active this week when the Chiefs meet the Tennessee Titans on Sunday at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium. Johnson has not been "suspended," head coach Herm Edwards said today, and his deactivation is not related in any way to Johnson’s pending court case. He won’t be active for the game because "he broke team rules and the consequences are he won’t play this weekend," Edwards made clear.
"Larry Johnson is not suspended," Edwards said, "for if you know suspension he can’t be at the facility and he can’t practice. Larry practiced yesterday, he practiced today." Edwards said Johnson will return to the field next week.
The NFL through its Personal Conduct Policy will address the result of the pending court case upon its resolution. As per NFL policy, the Chiefs will have no further comment on the matter.

reports are
that he also skipped a meeting.
All the LJ supporters, can we please, please be done with this guy? He’s not only given us squat over the past two years except maybe two good games, but he’s a distraction and more of a problem than he’s worth.
I’m calling it. Right now.
We’re winning on Sunday. Book it. It’s Jamaal Charles time, baby.

I'm Down With Kolby And Jamaal Getting The Plays
Might as well see what they have. And at least they put an effort into most of their game…not just the parts that they think make them look good.

Let's try
the Shotgun, two back set with Charles and Kolby. Keep one back to block and send the other as the flat release valve. Let’s get LJ on some deep routes into the middle of the field and tell Brodie “You’ve got four seconds after your step drop. If you can’t find anyone, throw it away.”
Work the counter on the right side, and get some screens going to Jamaal on second down. We can do this.

I'm Sure
That will be one of the rationalizations we hear. Hell, Herm and Carl ought to suspend LJ for the rest of the season, then none of the losses or bad performances will be their fault.
That contract Peterson gave LJ is just paying off wonderfully…for Herm and Carl, that is.

And by the way
The only way we win a game is with LJ being dominant. Let’s look at our last 16 games. The only time we won were when LJ was carrying the load.

THERE'S SOMETHING ELSE GOING ON HERE
…it’s beyond the girl and his attitude. They can’t dock his salary because of attitiude…he’s always had one. There si soemthing deeper then meets the eye.
Yesterday on 810 they were indicating that there are things that haven’t surfaced yet. They didn’t want to speculate but Kietzman and Harry were indicating that this was going to happen and we haven’t heard THE TRUTH.
I can handle it…..bring it on.
BTW…LJ absent = excuse for Herm and Carl not to win.
I wonder how the odds in Vegas are doing?

Payed to sit
Does LJ still get payed…let me check…a billion dollars for this weekend’s game? If so, does a suspension matter? It’s not like he was playing all that hard before. Now he doesn’t even have to go through the motions.
I think they hurried on the suspension a little so that Kolby can get demolished by the Titans, thus avoiding any sort of RB controversy like we saw after the Raiders game last year. And this is another storm cloud rolling in over Brodie’s return this weekend. If the Titans’ D doesn’t have to worry about any facet of our O, they can just focus on pounding Brodie into submission. I predict he lasts…let’s be optimistic here…three series upright.

I Think
Suspended means he’s not getting paid (or gets docked his game salary).
All sarcasm aside, I think it was the right move by the Chiefs. LJ’s bitching was a problem, his off-field habits are a distraction, and it’s way past time they told him it’s time to straighten up and fly right.

BTW Read this

terrible move by Carl. I understand TG deserves a 2nd round pick but you dont agree and then change your demands. Thats bad negotiating.

For What It's worth
Kevin Keitzman on 810 says the suspension has nothing to do with the night club thing. It’s something else but he won’t say what LJ has done.

Now That's Interesting
They could suspend him for “conduct detrimental to the team” (which is sort of a catch-all) but there’d have to be more to it than griping about carries I think. Wonder what’s up?

he b*tched out Carl and Herm for TG because Tony is too classy to do that type of thing. Or maybe he b*tch slapped Herm in a club last night.

810 says it is a new incident an no one is able to speak about it even though they know what it is.
They went on to say he is lucky to not be suspended 4 games or more, and that the incident (whatever it was) is incredibly embarrassing to LJ.
