Ask Jimmy from Music City Miracles
Hello all,
Jimmy from Music City Miracles here to answer any questions you have about the Tennessee Titans. This is a dangerous game for the Titans because they have had a couple of weeks of listening to everyone telling them how good they are, and they have a HUGE game with the Colts on Monday Night Football next week.
Anyway, that is where we are. Please post any questions below, and I, or someone from the site, will be glad to provide an answer.
[Ed. Note: There's a FanPost at MCM asking us questions. Definitely check it out. -Primetime]

They have been really
quiet on the KVB front. I have heard that it is a tear and he is out 3-6, but the team is saying he has a chance to play Sunday. We will learn a lot more after practice today.

Good question
A lot depends on how this season plays out, but if there is another team willing to give him starter money the Titans will let him go. They can’t afford to pay him when they have all that money tied up in VY.
The Titans don’t plan on him being a long term solution, but he is the best we have right now.

After next season..
..but I don’t think they are willing to give up on him just yet.

His cap number is $2.1 M next year. At this point, I think they could lose him BEFORE next season and not sweat it.
Though I don’t know why they would over $2.1M. He knows the system, and it’s not like he’s a total bum and a loser. For $2.1M, he is at least a reasonably good back-up.

Go Titans!
But his guaranteed money
Is $25.7 million so wouldn’t that be accelerated to 2009 if released now? They’ve only paid like half the guarantee so far.

I don't think that's correct, but I could be wrong.
My understanding—granted, it comes from Peter King—is that he has a fairly low cap number next year and no guaranteed money beyond next year. From that standpoint, releasing him NOW might not be a good idea, but then again, no one wants to release him now, and I have no idea why anyone would be in favor of that. Because at this point he’s a sunk cost and a helluva good back-up QB.

Just how bad
is your d-line going to make our o-line look?
Well
The Titans d-line is very good. There is a chance that KVB won’t be able to play in this game, but Albert Haynesworth, the best defensive tackle in football, will be in there plugging up the middle. The Titans’ defense is built around the front 4, so I hope they make your line look really bad.

Would you trade us
Cortland Finnegan and Albert Haynesworth for Tony G and Larry Johnson? When you guys where in the salary cap jail a few years back did you ever lose faith in Jeff Fisher? And how many current players on the roster came from all those rookie free agents you brought in?
Go to Wide World of Roto for all your fantasy news!
1. No
2. I personally never lost faith in Fisher because I knew the struggles weren’t his fault, but there were a lot of people who did. There is still a segment of Titans’ fans that hate Fisher Ball. I love it.
3. There aren’t a lot of undrafted free agents on the roster, but the large majority of the guys were late draft picks. Floyd Reese, the former Titans’ GM, was very good at finding talent in the late rounds, but not so much at finding it in the early rounds.

this is not a dangerous game for you
not by any stretch of the imagination
even a blind pig finds an acorn once in a while
but not as a matter of habit
Are the Titans
Planning to involve VY in the offense at some point? Assuming he’s healthy (or close to it) will he play any sort of role?
They are mum about that
but my guess is you will see him in some type of “Wildcat” or whatever you want to call it formation.

Why is it
Kansas City has so much better BBQ than Memphis?

Who could stomp someone's head harder?
Albert Haynesworth or the Lord of the Dance Micheal Flatley? Sure Haynesworth has the bulk but Flatley can really move those feet.
How come the Volunteers...
are dominated by the Pac-10 year in and year out.

No contest
Why waste the man’s time with such ridiculous questions? Kerry Collins unquestionably

Seen it all already
And that would have been just one morning for Collins in his heyday, except the women were actually hot

Are Titans tix hard to come by?
I got this boy Funky Dave in Memphis who I’d love to drive down and catch a game with. Whats the tailgate like down there?
Tickets are very hard to come by
The tailgating atmosphere is good. I bet it is better in KC, but it is still pretty good here.

hahaha
I thought you were talking about ticks at first. You know, like Huard’s head bob. lol. Always looking for that winning edge!
Hey PT
Someone over there predicted a 35-0 blowout, I do not think that is crazy, do you?
Seeing how the Bucs handled the Panthers
and the Panthers handed us a new one, I think its entirely possible
by KansasCityShuffle on Oct 15, 2008 9:50 PM CDT up reply actions
Maybe
Well, I’ll never say that’s realistic because it doesn’t happen often (yes, I remember 2 weeks ago) but I see more of a 20-3 type game.

Chiefs with a 22-17 upset
5 FG’s for Nick the Kick and a Croyle TD pass to Tony G.
