Gonzo to Bills gaining steam?

Buffalo is alright, I guess, but I don't know that you can classify them in the same "competing for a Superbowl" category as NYG. If Tony is up for it, though, I wish him all the luck. Hopefully, something can be worked out that's best for all parties before the deadline. This is pretty much a lost season at this point.

For a 3rd and 6th?
I don’t know what to think about that, maybe if they were conditional picks, like if he catches 50 balss or gets 8 TDs then the 6th turns into a 4th.

I am not a fan of conditions
Although I am a fan of performance based pay, conditions for a draft pick can be easily manipulated by the other team. Example, Buffalo gains steam with the pick and ends up as a first round playoff bye going into the last game of the season. They rest all of their starters including TG. Oops, he was one catch shy of the condition that would have given us an earlier round pick. Their GM tells Carl, “my bad.”

Are wrong way too many times to put much stock into what they say. But thanks for the heads up I’ll keep an eye out for the real media picking it up.

He'd Be A Good Addition To That Team
They need a receiving threat to take the heat off of Lee Evans and I think they’ve got to be considered the favorite to win their division already this year.

Whitlock Mentioned Buffalo Before
But this is the first I’ve heard of it.

Cardinals Are For Real This Year
They did a great job on the Cowboys yesterday and the Cowboys are a very good team.

Cowboys defense in trouble
The Cards are a much better team this year especially w/ (a healthy) Warner at Q.B. The Dallas secondary is not good (enough) right now and the Romosexual has butter fingers. I had the Cards winning yesterday and had myself a nice little payday as a result !!

Not So Much Butterfingers
As a broken finger. He’s apparently out for a month.

I read that too
But I was more refering to his propensity for fumbling.

I'm Wondering If He Actually Got Hurt Earlier Than Overtime
He passed for 300 yards but he looked off all day.

He fumbles on a regular basis
And throws picks on a regular basis.

Whinsenhunt nearly got bit on the behind with that Shanahan style time out...
had a dumb look when Dallas make the subsequent FG that put the game into overtime. I was cracking up saying to myself and anyone that would hear me, “Thats what happens when you take after the example of Shanahan!”

They've been wanting him
The Bills have been eyeing him…at least their fans. The Bills are the sleeper favorite for a SB run. TG would open up their passing attack. Lynch is a beast, so with a deeper and stronger passing game, their offense would be outstanding.
Their weak link is possibly the D. Otherwise, Tony will help them get deep into the playoffs this year. Can you imagine Tony torching us when we play Buffalo in Dec?
I’d rather he go to Buffalo than the Giants. They are being NY snobish about him. No question, he will improve any offensive team by just stepping on the field. I want Tony to go to a team that will appreciate him and honor his abilities. I’m not happy that he is going, but I’d rather he stay in the AFC (just cant stomach the NFC teams) and help that team go to the Super Bowl while we are struggling. Once he retires in two or three years, we will make a run of our own, so this works out great for all.
The Bills site is completely lit up over the possible trade and are screaming to get him.

Pass on that offer
Gonzalez is worth more to this team than those Buffalo draft picks would be. And they’re not even serious Super Bowl contenders, so that deal makes no sense for TG either.
I’m fine with trading him, as long as we get a really good value in return and he goes to a team with a solid shot at winning it all. If it’s not at least a great return, then we keep him.
Huard, Surtain, Donnie Edwards and Sackintosh should all be moved for whatever we can get in return for them, if anything. And it doesn’t have to be draft choices, we can trade a player for another player too, even if most NFL teams don’t do that anymore. We’ve got tons of room under the cap to take on some young OT or QB.
Gonzalez could have two more years beyond this one as a good TE. We don’t need to just dump him now.
