"I hate the word intimidate. If a football team gets intimidated, you have no chance to win. Are we getting rattled? Maybe. Are we losing some confidence? Maybe. That’s what we have to fight against. We have to realize what we’re capable of and if it doesn’t work the first time, it could work the second time. If it doesn’t work the second time, it’ll work the third time. Eventually we will get there if we don’t let things get us down."
Yep, keep plugging away even if it doesn't work...

Offense getting down on itself
I found his point about when things start to go bad that the offense kind of gets the ‘here we go again’ mentality interesting. After the Atlanta game I said something similar in that I thought they needed to win some games so that when things started to go bad they wouldn’t have that mentality. If you believe that you are going to lose then you are going to lose, that was how Marty always defeated the Raiders he was in their heads (also why we always lost at denver and in playoffs).
With a team this young they need some confidence in themselves and in the direction that the team is going. I am not a fan of Herm but I hope he gets it together quickly or all this young talent we have will be worthless, because they will not believe in themselves and it will take 5-7 years to turn this around (see Bengals, Cardinals).

Wasn't it DJ who said
after the Denver game something like, I didn’t worry about making mistakes, I just played as hard as I could? That is why he had such a good game. Thats what the offense needs to do. What else do they have to lose at this point?

The definition of insanity is
doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. I rest my case. Fire Herm Edwards and lets get this show on the road to respectability.

Only Problem Is
That as long as Carl Peterson’s still got his job we’d still be doing the same thing over and over because until he gets fired he’d still be selecting the new coach.
Supporting the lesser of two evils is still supporting something evil.

Wow
Why didn’t we just hire a circus clown or a monkey to coach our team? Either one would make as much sense as this guy. Actually, I might start a petition to get Barnum and Bailey in here to run things. At least the halftime shows would be entertaining… maybe the bearded lady could play RT…
“We formulated our gameplan for the entire season 2 years ago. We’re going to be mentally tough out there, and that means losing games. You have to lose in order to win, and you play to win the game. You can’t throw all these young guys out there and start winning right away. What would that do to their confidence if they haven’t suffered through losses like we are right now? We’re rebuilding, and that’s ok. These things happen.”

That's what happen's when you keep losing....
All of sudden we have no confidence in our own abilities.

The real problem
I am going to post something that might make me really unpopular but I have thought about this for some time. I think the Hunt family should sell the team to someone who is interested in running it as a real winning sports investment. They are too tied to Carl Peterson and they will never make any changes in this situation. I saw an interview with who I guess was the appointed Hunt family president and he was praising Carl Peterson as if he could do no wrong. Everybody thought highly of Lamar Hunt but Carl Peterson was his ‘blind’ spot and this has to come to an end so the Kansas City fans can have the team they deserve and get rid of non-performers in the management and coaching jobs as needed.
