Trent Green for QB Coach

I am dead certain that with someone like Trent Green as The KC QB coach, Brody Croyle would shape up into on e dynamite QB.

Croyle has the athleticism and ability.  Combine that with Trent Green's savvy and prowess and you have a HOF QB growing in your own backyard.

People can talk all the trash they want about Trent Green, I think he got the shaft in losing his spot at KC and for lack of a better defense at the time, could very well have gone to a superbowl at KC.

No doubt in my mind.

In many ways, the team management let Trent down.

A great way to give him his proper dues would be to bring him back as QB Coach. ( and fix the defense).

Trent's said he has no interest.
Trent will come back, but probably as a booth announcer. Most probably, it won't be as a coach.

Trent said his time as a player consumed a lot of his time and he's missed valuable family experiences because of it. Coaches actually have to commit more of their time than players do, so it's a no-brainer for Trent (no pun intended).

Trent
I loved Trent Green.  I think Edwards and the coaching staff did too, thats why they let him come back after his concussion even though Huard was playing well.

I've always thought Green overreacted to the competition in training camp thing.  Croyle wasn't ready to be the starter at the beginning of the year and I think Trent, like alot of other people, took what Edwards said and ran with it instead of waiting to see what happened.

It's a shame.  There's no quesiton that Brodie would be able to improve faster and learn more if Trent was there to mentor him.

ESP
You stole my thoughts over the holidays...LOL

I think it would be a no brainer to have Trent is as QB coach, but what about Curl?  Why did Herm keep Curl and will he be doing the same job?

Trent this preseason
I never understood Trent's reaction to the QB competition...if he hadn't left, he would have been the starter.  He could have beaten out Huard, ho problem (of course, now that we all saw our fantastic o-line for 16 games, I think Trent might have been killed had he stayed here)...he really didn't believe that Edwards was going to put the best QB on the field against the Texans.  Maybe the pain medication made him paranoid or something.  The whole thing was weird.

trent's injury
as it turns out he got put behind another bad offensive line in miami and was nearly killed anyway by another concussion.

Yeah
That reminds me of a good point...as bad as the Chiefs were this year, just be glad we don't have as many holes to fill as the Dolphins.  They should get two picks in each round of the draft just so they can catch up.  I mean, there are only like 10-15 people that I think proved they deserve to remain a Chief, but there are only like 2-3 guys that didn't suck it up for Miami.  Trent is indeed lucky he didn't get paralyzed.

we don't know the whole story behind Trent leaving
I have heard some rumblings from a few old players but it's still all hearsay.

My point is, there is more to it than meets the eye.  I can understand if Trent would not want to return in any position under Herm.

Let me say it again, I took no vow of silence.

Herm Edwards in not a good head coach.

I love this team and Herm is not looking out for KC's best interests, he is looking out for Herm's best interests.

ok.  it's out of my system.

btw, I want Tony to stay.  call me selfish, fine. I would rather see him retire as a HOF, record setting Tight end with no ring, rather than seeing him end up with the wrong team and spending his last good years getting burned up.
