Open Thread - Draft Day

Its upon us ladies and gentlemen. I'm in sitting in Tennessee getting ready for what I guess I've been waiting for all these months. Nothing fancy on this post so lets just dive into the commentary. I'll be posting the AFC West picks here too. This page at NFL.com will keep you up to date on the picks as well.
**UPDATE** I am satisfied with picking Dwayne Bowe from LSU. Needed a great WR and I think we got one. I mentioned in the comment section that I can't really dedicate much time to writing today so anybody who wants to write up their thoughts on Bowe, by all means go ahead.
GO CHIEFS!!!!
3:34 pm The Chiefs select Dwayne Bowe, WR from LSU
3:20 pm Brady Quinn to Cleveland? Wow. What a draft so far. Chiefs are on the clock...
3:03 pm Do we take Quinn if he's there?
12:54 pm Dolphins take Ted Ginn Jr.??? WTF???
- Round 1 - Jamarcus Russell, QB from LSU
- Round 1 - Jarvis Moss, DE from Florida

Keyshawn
At least TO made him look like less of an ass.

Used to love playing with Keyshawn in video games

And
Nahh
LJ is great but he has to have an offensive line to run behind & we are in some sorry ass shape.

Brady Quinn
Is he the one for Cleveland?
I forgot how boring this is.

i think we will be able to get a 4th round pick out of it, making us have a pick in every round...
something to think about
miami gets: trent green, #23 overall pick
kansas city gets: #40 pick and #60 pick
that way we would have 3 second round picks to take an offensive linemen, a wr and even a cb.
i would love to do something like that, but i dont think it will happen...
if alan branch is still available
Why?
I'm still new to following football with more than a passing interest and so the answer may be obvious to everyone but me.

QB of the Future
- We get the "Quarterback of the Future" - a #1 pick who has played for a former NFL coach that won Super Bowls, etc. . . . The only announcer I trust on the ESPN coverage is Jaworski & he said that Quinn had faults but they were all correctable.
- We pull off super-trade like Dallas. Get to pick 13 slots later but also get a #1 next year. It's not like Cleveland is going to turn it around in a year, so it will be an early pick next year.
I listened to the Herm & Carl presser & it sounds like it was not much in play & they got the guy Herm wanted.
I'm satisfied.

i dont know what i would do
i would also be happy with brady, dt alan branch, wr dwayne bowe or wr robert meachem. houston is probably going to be the pick though in my mind...
who do we take now are there any players

I'm satisfied
I'm pumped for Bowe to be on our team. This draft has been so nutty that I'm not surprised we didn't go defense.
Sporadic posting throughout the weekend.
GO CHIEFS!!!!

DeWayne Bowe

I think you had to take
Bowe is worth a shot for sure. I still can't believe that the most number of mock drafts picked it dead on for the Chiefs.
I like Bowe,

if i were picking
our defensive tackle position is taken care of for awhile now though, with james reed, ron edwards, alfonso boone, tank tyler and turk mcbride all in the 5 man rotation. plus, it allows jimmy wilkerson to move as the 3rd defensive end and possible starter in the first four games of the season when jared allen is suspended.
you can tell ive been up all day, all of these sentences are run ons but ive been watching this so long that i dont care anymore.......
Carl Peterson on ESPN moments ago
I guess this means he's not going anywhere at the moment. Unless we get two 6th round picks from Miami. (Does the draft go on forever?)
Trading LJ is not happening, either.
(Why am I watching the 4th round of the NFL draft? Why?)
