Jared Allen To Miss First Four Games

Woh. That was close. We knew Allen would miss some time but new commissioner Roger Goodell had me thinking that Jared Allen could miss more than four.

For the last time, mull over the Mock Draft Tracker's final results.

Position
Tally
First Round Choice
WR
55 Dwayne Bowe (21) Sidney Rice (10) Ted Ginn Jr. (4) Robert Meachem (12) Dwayne Jarrett (8)
OT
9 Levi Brown (3) Tony Ugoh (2) Joe Staley (4)
CB
3 Leon Hall (1) Aaron Ross (1) Chris Houston (1)
LB
1 Patrick Willis (1)
DT
5 Amobi Okoye (3) Justin Harrell (2)
OG
2 Ben Grubbs (2)

For all the work I put into it, I think the Mock Draft Tracker is pretty cool. And yes I capitalize it to make it sound more important. Off to Tennessee for the weekend. Lots of driving to do tonight. I'll be by a computer enough to open up the draft thread (probably very early tomorrow morning) and make sure we have updated info.

Harrell
Not many people agreeing with us (only 1 other) that we will take DT Justin Harrell.

Allen
His comment was pretty subdued.  I know that some people are peeved at Allen for his stance on his contract but you gotta like his spirit.
"I have definitely learned from my mistakes and am glad to finally put this entire thing behind me once and for all. I will be with the Chiefs this year and will do everything I can to help bring a championship back to the great fans of KC."

I love this guy - he loves us.  He is a fan.

Cheers!

You play to win the game!

I like Jared Allen
My wife and I have had the opportunity to meet this kid a few times.  He's really a nice and funny guy and he's having fun.  Yes, he screwed up...BAD, but he is, after all, still a kid.  I am sooooo happy that I didn't have media scrutinizing my every move when I was his age.  He's a tremendous athlete and I hope he remains a Chief for years to come.

He is a kid
Are you serious? He's a kid?People younger then Jared Allen are dying in Iraq and the last time I checked the media scrutinized the mistakes of those soldiers heavily,Abu Grahb for instance. Is it too much to ask for the profesional athletes who are privilaged to make all this money to be good citizens? If I had my way this guy would sit down for a year, even if he does play for my team.If you indanger the public by drinking and driving you should sit out a year.In the military you lose rank for a first offense DUI. What makes Jared Allen better?
We're still paying the price for hiring Dick Vermiel.

I tend to agree with you
You can throw around the fact that he's a kid and all but regardless, he has two drunk driving arrests in one year. If you had a friend that happened to, you'd probably intervene.

If he doesn't get into any trouble this year
and performs like he has been, he will without a doubt get rewarded with a fat contract after the season.  Then he can buy the ranch he wants in my hometown Liberty, MO.
