Rumor Mill: Chiefs Looking at Jay Feely?

We seem to be at least one of a few teams who are interested:

According to someone familiar with Feely's situation, the Giants have upped their offer to rival those Feely has received from the Dolphins, Chiefs and Falcons -- the team with which he began his career. The person, who requested anonymity because negotiations are ongoing, said Feely, 30, was pleased with the offer he received during his visit with the Dolphins yesterday but wants to give the Giants a chance to match. Feely is expected to make his final decision shortly.

In the NFL, a kicker is a kicker in my opinion. Unless your name is Lawrence Tynes. Wouldn't mind seeing Tynes out of KC after his playoff debacle. Just don't throw much money at Feely.

**UPDATE** The Dolphins sign Jay Feely.

Tynes
Too bad - the Lawrence Tynes show on the DA Show was one of the few parts of the morning show that I liked but bye-bye!

Jay Feeley?

I am going to quit my job & spend the next five months preparing to be an NFL quarterback - seriously how hard can it be?

Cheers!

You play to win the game!

Tynes will probably
be around. More than likely actually. I haven't heard anything about Tynes leaving. But we are taking a casual look at Feely. Doubt we do anything with out kicking situation though.

Tynes
is a good kicker in the NFL. one miss in the playoffs should not ruin a solid season, i think that feeley is NOT as good as LT is.

i love LT!

I don't love the guy
I just hate Chiefs kickers who miss easy playoff field goals. Those guys are not who need if we are going to make any sort of a playoff run.

Honestly
I really don't care if we keep Tynes or not. He is probably just as good as Feely and vice versa. In the stat category, they'll probably end up with pretty similiar seasons. Mine is a purely emotional anger with Tynes.
