Open Thread: Kansas City Chiefs at Oakland Raiders

After last night's game, it's time to get down to business.  It's Raider week.

The Raiders strength is in their defense.  Our strength is certainly not in our offense.  It should be interesting.  Brodie will certainly get his test because Fabian Washington and Nmandi Asomugha form arguably the best DB tandem in the country.

So, here we go Chiefs fans.  Raider week.  We have to win to extend our winning streak against them.

Hopefully this game gets real ugly.  My prediction: Chiefs 23 Raiders 7.  Leave yours in the comment section.

CHIEFS! CHIEFS! CHIEFS!

This is almost a must win
We have to win all three of these divisional games.  I just don't see us sneaking into the playoffs unless we win them.

by primetime 07 on Nov 25, 2007 9:53 AM CST   0 recs

next 3
including this one are ALL must wins.  we'd be 7-6 and at least tied for the division lead with 3 crucial out-of-division games to decide what happens postseasonwise.

That being said, I think I'd be happy just with a post-bye-week win.

In other news, hope Larry had fun partying it up on his broken foot in New York this past week.  Anybody else see the photos?

Selfish...
... thy name is Larry Johnson.

Hope he had a good time partying it up.

It seems that the "Centaur" has chosen to hold himself as the back half of the mythical creature as opposed to the front half.

It begs the question, did LJ really leave before the game was over 2 weeks ago because he "couldn't bear watching the Bronco's win" or did he just want to beat traffic on his way to Westport.

Every time this guy takes 1 step forward he takes 2 leaps backward.

What an A-hole.

Regardless of his intentions
his actions rub Kansas Citians the wrong way.

Oh shit
I love my Chiefs just like the next guy,but if they were to lose to Oakland and Denver at home how much house cleaning would be done on the coaching staff? One NFL team has already contacted Bill Callahan about the O-coordinator position. Is it the Chiefs?

by Eric on Nov 25, 2007 11:42 AM CST   0 recs

Catastrophic
We barely sold out this game, if we lost this game, and essentially the season, then it would do some irreversible damage.

by primetime 07 on Nov 25, 2007 11:44 AM CST to parent up   0 recs

Callahan
is a team killer as much as Norv Turner is a team killer.  I don't care if he was the offensive coordinator - I don't want that LOSER anywhere near me team.  Seriously - in his last season in Oakland, he had to have extra security in the locker room because he feared for his personal safety.

No to Callahan.

You play to win the game!

I actually got offered tickets
to this game. But it seems like I just left Arrowhead after last night.

Go Chiefs!  This will be a good test for Brodie.

This AFC West race is not over.

Chiefs are receiving.  Webb is deep (no Drummond!).  Here we go...

by primetime 07 on Nov 25, 2007 12:03 PM CST   0 recs

Webb took it to about the 24
You can already tell the difference between Webb and Drummond.  Webb didn't just run straight into a pile, he made a couple moves.

by The DBowe Show on Nov 25, 2007 1:26 PM CST   0 recs

As I thought
would happen, Brodie's taking a step back due to the  nature of the Raiders secondary. Just settle him down.

At some point we need to take a good long look at one Mr. LJ, because this rookie out of Louisville is showing three times the effort we've seen from LJ all season.

There's a reason the Chiefs play in MISSOURI.

by Ridiculous Matt on Nov 25, 2007 1:29 PM CST   0 recs

by D Thomas on Nov 25, 2007 1:29 PM CST   0 recs

I'd agree it's been a less than stellar half, but the way our line is playing today they'd need a bodyback by now.

Mobility.
