After seeing DeAngelo Hall act up again, I thought of the possibility of the Chiefs trading for him before the deadline. What I want to ask now is should we sign him in the off-season. Here are the Pros and Cons, feel free to add onn to these.
Pros: Pretty much any corner we add is a backup over Ty Law. Yes, Tyron Brackenridge is looking pretty good as a nickel corner, but their is no way I want a rookie corner not from day 1 starting. DeAngelo is EXTREMELY fast which would be a nice thing to have on our team, and he would help our run defense a bit. (Last night I saw Ty Law on the field still looking for the jock strap he lost against AP) Also, even though he tends to get burnt rather often, this isn't that big of a problem in our tampa 2 defense. Also, he is going to have ask for considerably less money next year because of his "emotional" problems. Bottom line, he has talent but sure isn't playing like it and one thing Herm is good at is bringing out the best in players (minus the O-line i guess...)
Cons: He is an idiot. Not even our own lil' Benny Sapp could cost us 60+ yards in penalties. Also, like I said in the Pros, he can get burnt quite easily if we give him the chance (weird because he is one of the fastest in the NFL...i dont get it..) He also looks quite ordinary against good recievers, which is never a good thing, even though the best recievers in the AFC west (besides obviously D Bo the mo fo!!) are javon walker (out) and jerry porter.
Bottom line, my girlfriends here so i have to cut this short, but I think we should sign him if hes not too pricey and give him a shot, even if he is a mouthpiece. Anyways, lets hear everyones thoughts.
